£80.80 TCB for Nationwide Accounts
Comments
-
.....
The topcashback offer – which seems to be being paid on top of recommend a friend (i.e. you would get £130 in total) – gives you £80 cashback if you apply to open an account (flex account, flex direct or flex plus) by tomorrow and then switch within 45 days. You will have to confirm your switch/account opening with topcashback to validate the cashback – they will email you saying what you need to do. It says nothing about having to switch DDs – but you need to for Recommend a friend.
You need to supply the referrer with your First name, surname, date of birth and email address.
Hope that helps.
I can't see anything in the Ts&Cs about emailing TCB re. the switchI must be overlooking it - can you please tell me where the details are or what I need to do? My application went through fine - all tracked. My switch goes ahead tomorrow. I wrongly assumed that was my bit done.

I haven't seen any mention of any emails involved in this. However...
Logging into TCB after applying for the Nationwide account, I get a message asking me to send them them my postcode in order to confirm the 'purchase'. Do I need to do this after my switch completes, or can I just go ahead and do it now?0 -

I've not had this request from TCB. However, I was an existing Nationwide customer (FlexAccount - opened a FlexDirect through the TCB link). Not sure if that would make a difference.0 -
TCB has reduced - Quidco still offering £80. My father just applied for an additional account with RBS but it will take around a week to get the card through the post + require at least 2 DDs.
TCB T&C says switch needs to be done within 45 days. Their is no mention about this on Quidco T&C. Can he still go through Quidco, apply for Nationwide account and then within the next 2 weeks apply for the switch?
Thanks

Does N/W know what it's doing?
I applied a while ago and got an email saying I had to take ID to a branch.
Yesterday, I got a letter saying they wanted my signature only - which I sent off.
Today I get a similar letter saying they want my signature and ID.
How complicated can it be to open an account for a person with whom they've had a relationship for 25 years ?0 -

I just did it when they asked me to. Am pretty sure the switch hadn't then completed.0 -

Yes - same thing happened to me.
Got the standard ID email - everyone gets that whether they have been a member for years or are new.
The letter asks for a signature and two forms of ID as you say - but just go into a branch and show them this and they will look at it check the systems, recognise you are a member and just take the updated signature and the account will be opened that day (and appear in internet banking the next). That was my experience anyway.
I can understand why this happens - doesn't NW have over 10 million customers and opens around 1,000 current accounts daily? It probably takes a bit of time for the systems to kick in - I remember having home insurance once and getting them to change the address details on the policy document to match the covering letters (correct) seemed to totally floor them!0 -

Although TCB has reduced their Nationwide cashback offer it will still match the higher Quidco cashback if you lodge a claim through their Highest Cashback Guarantee.0
