DfE inspectors in tomorrow, have just stopped preparing or won't sleep.

Good luck, hope they ask the right questions or preferably none at all!

Narco, glad Mr N is on the way up, gives me hope for Mum who has zero appetite.

It's taken a while; he came out of hospital 30 December! Made me laugh this evening; with a broad grin on his face he said his buttocks ached from the cycling and other exercises he'd been doing in short bursts - said that proves at least there are some muscles left :D Glad she is out anyway. I'll trade fattening recipes with you when we finally get to the garden centre cake shop............has your mum lost a lot of weight? Mr N lost about 2 stone.

You don't need to get a grip.. he does.. you have done nothing to deserve this.. it is ok for him to be angry and fed up but that doesn't make it your fault,
I can empathise Mumto5 as it happened to us last year. I think men find it hard when it looks like they can't provide for their nearest and dearest financially as they see it as 'their role'. I'm sure he doesn't mean to make you feel bad but maybe he can't talk to anyone else yet.

I agree with Pigpen that he shouldn't take it out on you and maybe you just need to tell him that - it might be that he's soo worried about the future that he's just not thinking straight.

Please get him to go along to the Job Centre the morrow and get things sorted straight away as they tend to be very tardy over everything.

Meanwhile I'm sending some posi-vibes and (hugs) to both of you.

Ooh gosh, morning flyladies, have only skim read this page but it does seem that a lot of sticks, spoons and hugs are in order today, so I'll chuck some your way.

Ironing for me this morning before the paid stuff, as I didn't do any last week (ironing, not paid stuff!). Also need to collect prescription from the docs while walking the dogs.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Morning all

Nothing like starting your day emptying litter trays, one kitten still has an upset tummy, I think a little fish and nothing else for him today.

Need to gee everybody up to get a move on, be back later.

  • Blimey, look at the time, I should be in the shower!

Elasti I have the same thing with OH and the telly. I always feel slightly guilty watching rubbish because he will come in and moan at me. I always intend to download stuff onto my tablet to watch on iplayer but forget!

Snowing here again. It was a bit of a slippy drive into work yesterday. Had to pick DS up from school feeling ill, he had a blood test on Monday because he keeps getting stomach pains. Trying not to think about the possibility of him getting Crohns like his brother ..

    Right, got to run.
  • Morning everyone - have caught up with the thread.
Hugs to everyone needing them - lots of us by the sounds of it.

Popped out for meal last night - sometimes cheat on weigh-in day! and missed call from DS - hoping it's nothing important but I am concerned given the situation.

Hugs to Mumof5 for your DH.

Dusty - sounds like Mum is going through the stages. Not easy to deal with either for you or for her. Sending you coping vibes. x

Iona glad your friend is settled and eating well.

Sure I have missed people - need to start taking notes. So hugs to anyone needing them.

Need to finish the bathroom today then may go into ch shop and offer extra shift as it is Unite against Cancer day today and they could perhaps do with an extra pair of hands.

    Take care. x

    Morning all
Thank you for the support re my worrying, I can worry over nothing DH is convinced it's an illness.
The squares Im knitting are for a blanket for my first grandchild due at end of March its the pattern pigpen did for her DDs teacher, hers looked so beautiful I wanted to knit it when DD2 said she was expecting. I've done mine 36 squares big so need to do another 4 and the edging. I'm getting really excited at the prospect of a new little one in the family.
Iona glad your friend has settled in well and the home is a nice caring one.
    Continued positive vibes for Anna.
Dusty I hope your mum is as well as can be, and that little kitties tummy settles, you have a lot on your plate don't you.
Rubies4eva I hope things get sorted between your DD and her boss

I'm finding mils temper can be really erratic she can be quite rude and abrupt sometimes or needy and weepy others. I put a lot down to her illness but it still hurts, The kids found it quite funny that within a few mins of coming in the house on Christmas day mil had called DS2 a great lolloking lump, told DS1 he needed to smarten up get his hair cut and find a comb! Then on New Years day when Dh was videoing everyone asking what the best bit of the last year was and DD2 said she was having a baby we all clapped and hugged her. Mil asks what she was so pleased with herself for DH said mum she said about having the baby. To which mil replied why is that something to be so pleased with its not like there's a ring on her finger! Thankfully it was only DH that heard her so he told her quickly never to say that again and mentioned it to me later. She really is hard work some days, but he's only got one mum she's ill and it's our job to look after her. She just better not say anything like that in my earshot!
Light dusting of white here but I think it was more heavy frost than snow, plan is to do mils cleaning today once I've finished last night shredding and had a quick S&S here. The senior screen film today is gone girl, having read the book and both me and DH watched the dvd we have both warned her it is not her sort of film! When fil was alive if someone said so much as bottom she would rush into the back room muttering about not having this filth on her her living room. Now she pays to go and watch it, a couple of times her group have walked out and complained to the foyer staff, I said it's surely easier it find out what the film is first and decide if you want to see it they get a leaflet with the next two. Months films listed so I google them or tell her if we've watched them. DH was amazed she thought the fury was a really nice enjoyable film. Every other word started with F and I'm sure that wasn't in common usage in WWII!

Hugs posi vibes sticks and spoons where needed

Right I'm going to do a HHC shredding and see if I can clear it before overheating the shredder again.
