off for a quick 15min whizz round before school run. Must make dd1 sarnies to eat before dancing and round up the dancing gear.....0 -
MrsMP (((hugs))) for MiL's unfortunate comments. As to the worrying, sometimes people can come up with inventive solutions by seeming to overthink a problem, which might sometimes be what 'worrying' is.
Hugs for you too Dusty. You've got more than enough on your plate at the moment.
Is it any consolation that both Devil Cat and Mrs Dog are malfunctioning at both ends at the moment? I'm putting it down to stress, the weather, the local unicorn not paying a visit and sheer-bloody-mindedness on the parts of both animals. The cat probably didn't think he was getting enough attention so did what he did out of spite - he's more than capable of it. Vet appointment booked and then cancelled three hours later - he must have heard the cat basket being levered down from the attic and decided to perk up rather than the ignominy of being forced into it and prodded once he was let out. One wool rug through the washing machine and out on the line.Have a niggly feeling that DS2 has gone to school in "Thursday" socks.
I know this makes sense, but I can't quite follow it.
Shower room scrubbed to within an inch of its life, freezer tetris played, kitchen floor has had a drubbing. It needs more attention.Better is good enough.0 -
Glad you had a good day elastic, it doesn't matter what you did as long as you were together and enjoyed it. Plus it was flying of a sort as you decluttered some stuff.
Shredding all outside (securely bagged)
DD1s mending done, a pair of jeans taken in and a snapped tow rope that needed a new loop sewing on end after previous one snapped off - luckily I had denim needles and ultra strong thread from my working days.
Think I've fixed the kiddy sewing machine problem for DD2s fellas daughter so all of that can go on the return to owners pile.
Need to tidy everything away now but I want to make some chair backs for hairdresser friend so will leave that stuff accessible (I'll be using stuff I already have in so it won't cost her and I'll be clearing clutter) told her not to pay me I just won't give her a tip next time I go in.:D
Boys are fed so once I'm tidied away I'll run a bath as we are watching Oliver at school tonight.SPC~12 ot 124

Dailies done
Cat and birds fed
Kitchen mostly done. Just a few bits left to do.
Clean washing put away.
DD came for lunch and Ozzy followed her all over. She is not a cat person but loves him to bits. Glad the nights are getting a bit lighter.
Just going to do a quick tidy before settling down.0 -
Tidied and hoovered upstairs, didn't bother changing the kids beds in the end, I'll do it next week. Dw and wm x2. Washing basket sorted into darks and lights and washing mountain now all in one place. 8hr day tomorrow at wrk so prob won't get much flying done0

Woop! Woop! Whoop! My washing machine is fixed! For the sum of £25! The scond part they sent was the right one and hubby fitted it tonight. We put it on empty tonight to see f it is ok and I will christen it tomorrow with a gazillion loads! Only downside is, I can't send my washing to my mum and it won't be returned all folds and ironed! She even ironed the kids pjs! Bless her!
Been busy in the kitchen this afternoon. I used the grout cleaner and really scrubbed the tiles. Done about 2/3 of the way round so will finish the rest tomorrow!

My aim is to finish this little lot by 10am. Might give the cutlery drawer a miss though as I have a busy couple f days and need to sort all the stuff out for the nearly new sale on Saturday! Which may take some time!Grocery challenge-

Seems like ages I updated my list here but was probably yesterday.
Today went more or less to plan; had to be at uni early-ish for me; got last parking space; had time to grab a coffee before student remembered to let me know what room she had booked. Silly sausage; she was waiting for me but had forgotten to tell me where...........
Got pay claim handed in.
Bit of a mishap as on the way back to the car I fell over. Don't really know why, think disintegrated paving stone sort of turned my foot over, nearly kept upright then went down bang on one knee. 2 nice young lads both asked if I was ok. no real harm done, but feeling a bit generally stiff, bruise on one knee and the ankle on the other leg aches.
Dropped in at Mr T on the way home, got a couple of bargains.
Finished off dinner I'd put in aga in the morning.
Took Mr N up to finish stable chores as I was in a rush this am.
Had a bath to ward off the aches.
Went to sleep (another bad night).
Collected friend, so we've just had a fairly sociable evening over food, looked at some holiday photos etc.
Day off tomorrow. House is pretty tidy & clean thanks to flyman Mr N so I think we'll just have a nice day with friend.
There that was boring for you all wasn't it?
Must brag about Mr N's "art": before Christmas mum and I listed everything in the freezers (2 drawers in kitchen and 5 in garage). I have been periodically updating and re-writing the list on scraps of paper as it is useful; I've got stuff all over the place. Now Mr N has made use of an old dry-wipe writing board, the sort you hang on the wall to make shopping lists. He's ruled several lines in permanent marker so each freezer drawer has a space, and attached a dry-wipe marker so it can be easily updated. I'm so impressed. I expect most of you do all this all the time but I'm chuffed anyway!!!
