Hi guys thanks for all your good wishes .I have got everything crossed from my fingers, toes ,legs and if nessesary (sp? I can never spell that word ):rotfl: eyes for next week. Onwards and upwards troops:j
My builders whooshed through pulling down my conservatory I think the brilliant sunshine had a lot to do with it .They were cleared ,swept up and all rubbish removed in 4 hours flat:j Lets hope the chap who is coming tomorrow is as quick.

This afternoon I went for a little picnic with youngest DD and her tribe to Chatham Docks .In Kent a lot of the attractions are if you buy a ticket you can use it as many times as you like for a year .Jolly good value I think .We buy tickets every year as there is always something on down there and the four youngest boys love it. Katie at 14 gets a bit fed-up but she tolerates it for her brothers .
We sat on the HMS Gannnet this afternoon and the boys had the story of Blackbeard told to them by a very nice lady pirate in full costume .The little ones were entranced, and Henry 6, has decided he now wants to be a full-blown pirate after he leaves school instead of a 'nee-naw man (he means a policeman in a traffic car :rotfl: :rotfl: )She asks the children lots of questions about what the pirates ate and did ect,. and Henry being a blood-thirsty little boy told her with great glee that pirates 'cut out their gizzards' I'm surprised he knew what a 'gizzard' is, but I suppose the pirate movies are to blame for all the information that they get today. .
A good time was had by all and the boys did some wax rubbing of sailors in old-fashioned clothes .
I am just off to have a nice tuna salad, and a watch of 'Corrie' Take care all
    Cheers JackieO

    Hi all
We got back from our holidays yesterday. We had 2 weeks at my Mum and Dads in NIreland although my Dad is in hospital - has been for 11 weeks with awful lung problems - infection, inflammation, leaking and collapsed lungs. He is finally starting to improve though which is great.
DD got chicken pox while we were there so she only got to see her Grandad once as we clearly couldn't take her to the hospital whilst infectious, so that was a shame, but at least she cleared up in time for us toi fly home and DS didn't come out in any spots yet so that didn't stop us flying either :T

On the plus side the pregnancy related leg and pelvic pain I've been having was a lot better whilst away as Mums house is a bungalow so no stairs, no baskets of washing to lug around as my Mum did all of our washing bless her. And hubs did loads of the stuff with the kids, bathing them and so on so less lifting for me. It has flared up a lot since we got back but it was lovely to have a couple of weeks off from it :j

Other than the various health things we had a great time. We went to the beach loads which the kids loved as we live so far away from the coast ourselves. We also did a few National Trust places as we have passes, and then did things like the cinema, parks and so on. It was quite tense and stressful for hubs and I getting no space as my Mum was there most of the time (she's very confrontational and aggressive and no help whatsoever with the children), she only went to the hospital early evening whilst we were putting kids to bed etc, but the kids loved it, which was the main thing.

Anyway we got back yesterday, the kids are loving the novelty of their toys again, I am off work on maternity leave so they are loving not being packed off to nursery or preschool. Lots of time to play with them and lots of time to keep on top of the housework!

Right that's my update. Off to read the rest of today's posts on here and then might do some banking stuff if I can be bothered (I can't)

    Evening All

JackieO I must have been half asleep this morning when I read the thread and I missed the good news in your post - congratulations - I will also keep everything crossed for you for next time.

Tired-mum - cant beleive it costs £2000 thats shocking. Havnt seen any scouts today but there were loads at Danbury Lakes - heard all languages and accents.

Had lovely day today - not done too much though. Hair is feeling good and am pleased with the colour, sat in the sun this afternoon and just been for a lovely meal for oh's birthday. Had stuffed mushrooms followed by ribs and fries - didnt bother with dessert. Am now feeling rather stuffed, think will have an early night. Need to get up early tomorrow to get jobs done and picnic made so we can spend most of the day down the beach.

phew what a lot of posts to get through.
Forgot to mention earlier my WM decided to start playing up today. Its a dyson and has a fancy display panel - the machine stopped halfway through a wash and the display said "FAULT F15: PHONE .......". aarrghhh. So I called them and they talked me through what amounted to a reboot but said we should use a gentle setting with a separate spin cycle til the engineer comes. Originally this wasn't to be til next Wednesday  but I must have sounded so horrified and moaned out that two under 5's a week without a WM did not compute and they called back with a cancellation for Friday - phew.

jockettuk - congratulations :j and lots of luck for a smooth pregnancy (from a fellow pregnant person 33 weeks with number 3, other two are 4 and 2  )

mioliere - I always hoover them up, sorry,. Ours is also bagless so I just hoover hoover hoover til its chock full and the spider is well disguised LOL and then empty it.
This will make you laugh. Once with an old (and rather pants) hoover I tried to hoover it up with the long tube extension. The suction was so rubbish that the spider just calmly stepped aside and crawled onto the hoover and along the tube  I panicked big time and threw the entire hoover, still switched on, out the patio doors (they were open thank god) and soit went crashing onto the patio. The neighbours must have thought I was bonkers!!

scubaleopard - welcome and have fun! You've made me feel guilty I have loads of ironing to do LOL oh and well done on your weight loss

sharon59 - hope the blues lift soon

re: woodlice, we call them slaters

Hope everyone has a great day tomorrow

speaking of weather, was hot and sunny here today, got 2 loads dried on the line, basket now almost empty which is just as well as rain is forecast for tomorrow.

Was meant to be doing a big park trip in the afternoon with friends but think I might just stay in and play with the kids. I want to paint paper fish and turn them into fish to fish for with magnetic fishing rods by attaching paper clips. They will love it, I can get them to cut them out and then paint them and colour some in while the paint drying. Think we have some little eyes to stick on too. And we have two little magnet fishing rods from other games already.

    They will love it :)

And now I am going to empty the dishwasher and have a ansack before bed. see you all tomorrow, night night
