OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG I didnt just bring duty free back from my hols i only went and got myself pregnant:eek:
Got used to the idea but as wasnt planning any more kids and even thinking i might be starting the change of life soon it was a complete and utter shock to me.. Oh is :j :j :j and dd thought it was disgusting not that i was pregnant but how you get pregnant Yuk lol she excited now bless..
it means all our plans for the house have gone pear shaped as now we will have to move to a 3 bedroom house so instead of putting an extention on the back of ours along side a new bathroom and kitchen we going to get the kitchen and bathroom updated and the house tided up and decluttered and put on the market.. House wont go on the market probabaly untill baby is born next year as dont want the stress of a house move near the end of the pregnancy..
Although im not unhappy about it all im still getting my head round it but the doctor has said my weight loss programme can still go ahead as its healthy eating which is good for both me and the baby..
I am happy about moving to a new house as although im happy here It was the Oh's house and he didnt understand when i said i wanted to move hence all the building work we were going to have done so new year new baby new house and fingers x a new slimmer me this time next year
off for a lie down as still recovering from the shock lol

Morning and congatulations JOCKETTUK!! Sounds like it was a real shock! That's the second unexpected pregnancy on here in about a week. I wonder if it's catching!
Morning AMIE - I've didn't go to bed until 1.30 - I have family coming to stay for the night today so, what with sorting out my wardrobes yesterday and moving some bedroom furniture about, I had a long and busy day.
I have had to do the unforgiveable today, as soon as I got up - the thing I've warned everyone else about; I had to hoover up a spider. It's something I hate doing but it was in the kitchen sink, it was b****y massive and there's no man in the house! I know hoovering them up is not kind and that they usually survive it but I didn't know what else to do. It's a bit too early to run screaming round to the neighbours' house and I needed the sink. Anyway, the vacuum cleaner is now outside the back door in the vain hope that the spider will make it's way out to freedom. I do feel bad about it. It's a bagless hoover so I have no intention of emptying it myself; I'll just have to hoover the house knowing it's in there and get BIL to empty it later. I just knew there was something I'd miss my DH for!
Anyway, excitement over, except for the spider, of course. Guests will be here about midday but have done most of the prepping - just need to cook the chicken to have with salad tonight. I meant to do it last night but worked out that it would have been a long time before it had cooled enough to put in the fridge and I didn't want to leave it out all night once I'd gone to bed.
Anyway, have a great day everyone - off to have a shower; will catch up later.

:j Congratulations jockettuk.
My auntie did the same thing a few years back but she already had two children (the youngest was 20!) and her daughter's comment was 'Mother do you still do that sort of thing at your age!'
Hope everyone's well and got nice things planned for today.

Goodmorning everyone,
Congratulations Jockettuk :T So glad that little holiday bonus didn't happen to me.Afraid my grown up kids would say the same thing Juliejim.
BTW how old are u Jocket? Don't answer if you don't want to. It's just moi being nosy.
Got quite a bit done today. Made cereal & banana yoghurt cake which is yum. Ironed, poisoned & watered all the plants. Doing it by bucket takes ages. Where is the rain?Got up with DH at 4.30am which was a shock to the system but went back to bed until 8.30am.
Moilere Don't fret too much, I'm sure Mum & baby spiders are around somewhere.
Snowy I just knew it. Take lots of piccies now.
DH is knocking at the door. Best get off and open the door.Byeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Well i have lurked here for ages reading all your daily news but hesistant to join in --- so here goes.
I am 53 and a wife to 1 - still asleep and mother to 3 . 1 DS aged 28 who lives away from home. 1 DD who is 26 and who lives in at her job managing a pub in our local town and 1DD 20 who is sharing herself betwwen home and her boyfriends house. She got her first REAL job yesterday so is chuffed to bits. So are we. I work part time in term time.
Well had the early wake up call for no reason in particular at 4.00 a.m this morning and tossed and turned for 45 mins then I am sure something with legs - thought it was a spider but it was probably a pesky fly ran down my back so that was it out of bed like a shot.
So I have done the ironing for an hour and now popped on here to be brave and meet you all.
OH looked down the stairs as if I had gone mad and padded back to bed. I didn't tell him about the spider but I shall be pulling that bed apartwhen he leaves for work.
It is a really funny excting time for us because he retires on the 31 st of August so we shall be going to be spending lots more time together. We have been married for 31 years so in many ways we cant wait to get on with the next exciting chapter of our life but as is true of all things it will take some adapting to. He laughs at me now coming on here and joining in with the forum but I really enjoy it and I am sure all the MSE tips will help when salary takes the inevitable dive.
Today I have got a lovely day planned - no commitments at all. I have got to do some shopping and we always have tea at MIL's on a Wednesday so no having to cook for me. We live in a tiny village and up until a few years ago My parents and Oh's parents all lived within 300 yards of us. Sadly over the last 5 years we have lost both my parents and OH's Dad- all lovely people so poor MIL is on her own. So on a Wednesday we cut the lawn, put out the bins etc etc etc etc etc etc etc and get "paid" with tea cooked.A very good arrangement!!
I am in the middle of trying to help DD1 lose weight at the moment. So hard when working in a pub . OH and I took ourselves in hand after Christmas and have lost over 3 stone between us ,so she has been inspired. So she is eating breakfast and lunch at the pub,all healthy or so she says and then I am like a meals on wheels service with the evening meal. It has been fine because we tend to eat healthily as we don't want to put the weight back on and me and DD1 have really become very close on this mission together.
DS AND DD2 are both like bean poles so it has been quite hard for DD2 see the pounds pile on.
Well I will now think whether it is worth going back to bed again probably not but it looks like being a long day but at least the sun is shining so that makes a lovely change.
Good day wishes to everyone.0 -
Morning Guys!!
Jockettuk-Congratulations. How far along are you? How exciting:j :j :j
Have had a crap night but have the nurse coming in 10 mins, so had to be up and ready for her.
WM is on, DW only half full and toilet scrubbed. Yesterday managed to sort through some of my clothes, make 2 phonecalls that seemed to take forever, cleaned inside 2 windows and one mirror, clear some paperwork, put washing away etc. Today we have planned: hoover out the car, ironing, sort out under the stairs and charity bag and stuff I have already tried to sell on ebay. Wash all the nets and do some more de-cluttering. Also have to arrange two important visits via phone.
What is the best way to clean white nets? I bought some net cleaner from ebay and dtated machine washable, but it meant the nets were MW and I have to soak them in this stuff after I have MW them...Can I not just put this stuff in the WM? What other ways can I clean them without becoming dull?
DD is at her friends till tonight, so pretty quiet here. OH & I spent 3 hrs chatting in the garden last night:rolleyes: ..it was quite nice apaert from being bitten by the mossies (sp)
MIL never came up yesterday, so cant be too important. She only lives a few doors away so no excuse not to come.
Anyway, Im off to have a cuppa and some toast.
Hugs to all.
