Today I have spent £2.12 on lunch, 50p at the cake stall for children in need, £8.00 on tickets for the school children in need concert tonight and £2.00 on raffle tickets for c-i-n raffle tonight
I don't feel too bad spending it as it is for a good cause and aslo means ds and I get to go out for an hour or two tonight

Hi benben have a lovely evening with your ds and a good weekend. Glad I'm not going out though-it's freezing here, had heating on all day and house not very warm. Take care XXNothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

This morning I'm just sitting here waiting for the ex to arrive to collect ds
I hate this time. Once he's gone I'll be down for a couple of hours then I will start looking forward to him coming home tomorrow
This weekend while he's away I haven't really got anything planned, so I'm thinking of having (yet another:rolleyes: ) day of sorting out the flat (its not too bad today, so this shouldnt take too long), and then I am gonna get out all the bit I've put away for ds for xmas and see what I still need to get. I am also planning on getting some more ebaying done and I need to do a huge amount of aqa'ing as this months total is almost non-existant so far

Hi BenBen,
Aw... hope you have a nice day, enjoy your sorting out.
What you got on eBay? Anything exciting?
Are you going out tonight? This time next week, we'll have met... yay! I'm looking forward to it.

Hi benben
I've read your diary intermittently, but today I'm stuck at home with the remnants of a migraine, and have read through the last few days properly. You really sound like you're doing so well, its amazing. Not only do you provide all the material things we all want to give our children (and bless him for not noticing what you put in the shopping basket! that made me smile) you take care of the huge overheads of the mortgage, making huge overpayments, and most importantly of all you provide him with dozens and dozens of happy memories - taking him local places, like the market and the harbour, and playing with him at what he wants to play at. I understand that you're down after seeing him off to the ex right now, but I just want to put in your diary how much I admire what you're doing. Lovely to read through a couple of weeks worth in one go, thank you.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Tigz ... nothing exciting on ebay, only 4 items ... a couple of bits of my clothes and a couple of bits ds has never worn. Still on £7.39 but got 36 watchers now. They all finish tomorrow afternoon so will hopefully get a few more bids
I'm looking forward to meeting up next week too!!
KC ... awww thankyou for that! I decided to go to tesco and get the food shopping done when ds had gone, its sooo much easier without him in the supermarket, but then again it meant I had time to stop and look at stuff for a change, and I ended up buying stuff I didn't really need ... duck and pancakes ... belgian buns ... pate ...:rotfl:
Might also try and have a go at my tax return that still needs filling in this afternoon, have decided I'm gonna put the heating on and stay indoors all day today, its pouring with rain and is yucky outside, so I'm setting up camp in here and not budging all dayMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Well my day indoors seems to be going pretty well ... I have made a few lists   and then I got a burst of energy and I have:
emptied and reloaded the dishwasher
changed both beds
put the first lot of washing on (many more to follow:rolleyes: )
emptied all the old stuff lurking at the back of the fridge
sorted the food cupboard a bit so I can at least shut the door
tidied ds bedroom
tidied the airing cupboard (god knows why!!)
tidied everything off the floor in all rooms (except the pile of washing by the machine)
everywhere looks nice and tidy now, I just have to go round and clean and hoover it all nowThis bit doesn't normally take too long ... I've already done the kitchen but haven't done the floor in there yet
Oh, and while I was doing all that my ebay stuuf has gone up to £11.38 :jMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

All done except for the kitchen floor, but there is washing by the machine and the clean washing is on the airer drying, so I will wait until I can see most of the floor again
There must be something about me tidying that gets the ebay buyers out ... my stuff has gone up to £14.99 now ... still not huge but more than I expected in total and its still got 24 hours to go :j One top I bought for £5 in the sale in Next and have worn it several times and its already at £6.01  I always feel a bit guilty if it goes for more than I think its worth, I don't want people to be disappointed, but then again, I have listed it accurately so I suppose its up to them if they want to bid that muchMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

You are so energetic! I just wanted to say that I can sympathise with you feeling down about DS going away with his dad but it does get easier, just feel glad that he's enjoying spending time with his dad and try to do something that it's easier to do without him around e.g. lunch with a friend or art gallery etc.
good luck with the ebay stuff. xMortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Okay, well as the money stuff seems to be ticking along okay at the moment I have got a new little project ....
Over the last few weeks I've gradually realised that I am wearing the same few clothes all the time. The reason for this is my weight is creeping up againand I have decided to stop making excuses and get on and do something about it (AGAIN!!).
I was going to wait until after xmas when I'll be able to use the new gym at work while ds is at after school club, but then I realised I am just making excues and delaying it further, and what with xmas I'm sure I'll have nother half a stone to lose by then
SO .... here's the plan .... I AM going to lose a stone between now and Christmas. This won't get me down to my target weight, but it will get me back to a weight I'm contrent with and then after xmas I will aim to lose another half a stone (plus whatever I put on over Christmas). I will aim to do this until December 21st which is the day we break up for the holidays. I'm hoping that as its just for 5 weeks that it will be achievable to stick to.
I will be limited in the amount of exercise I can do because of ds, but I am going to go swimming tomorrow morning while he's awayand then hopefully I can go to the gym twice a week.
I will try and report back how I'm progressing on here. My weaknesses generally are in the evenings when ds is in bed as I'm stuck indoors, so I need to do more aqa'ing to keep me occupiedI can't really do an exercise dvd or anything because I live in an upstairs flat and the noise of me thumping around really wouldn't be fair on the people downstairs (or is that just more excuses??)
