I've just got most of my xmas stuff out and have got less shopping left to do than I thought :j :j I was shocked at how much stuff I have for ds ... I could easily do his stocking twice over
I am going to list it all and then sort it into 2 piles, one that will go in his xmas stocking and one that will go back in the cupboard for his birthday / easter / or even next years xmas stocking  I need to be disciplined at this as I don't want to spoil him and he will get tonnes of stuff from his dad too. I also need to write a list of bits I need to get to finish off my movie hampers and a breakfast hamper I've done for my grandparents and the sweetie boxes we're making. Most of the stuff I need I can get in tescos or asda so I may just look round for some codes and get it all ordered in one blitz
I also need some dvds for the movie hampers but this is soooo hard because they are family hampers and they have got loads already so its tricky to make sure they haven't already got them  i know one of them wants Jungle Book so thats ok, but the one for my brother is harder as they dont live nearby so I cant check what they've already got
Ho hum, keep the receipt and all that;)

Been browsing around and have come up with a different idea for the hampers, I am going to get a gift subscription for dvd rentals, 3 months subscription is about £25 and then they can choose their own films and they get more than one to watch!!
I did look at going through quidco but I've already done most of the free trials on them so I don't think they'd track even if I was paying for the subscription?? Might give it a go anyway, have nothing to lose

Ebay stuff has finished on £27.99  I'm really pleased with this and hopefully it will motivate me to get some more stuff on there this week!Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Hi Benben
How has is gone food wise for you today? Well I hope.
I've done ok I've managed to eat well (more than I usually do actually) and I still have some points left so that I can have a snack of some kind tonight while watching TV. I have eaten fruit and I've had homemade celery soup which consisted of 3 onions and a whole celery and I ate the lot to myself. Not looking forward to the after effects:rotfl:
I've not done any exercise though.
The downside to eating so healthy today is a cracking headache!!! It must be the withdrawal from sugar. I have had a couple of glasses of water but I obviously need to aim higher in this area.
Hope you have managed to stay motivated.0 -
Well done on the ebaying
Now, this is quite random but OH got me a 24 pack of diet coke (£7.25 OMG!!!) and on the front is an advent calender with free stuff valid for each day only. ONe of the days is 12 blockbuster rentals (assuming you enter validation code in the diet code website, then they send the vouchers through the post??). Might be worth considering if you drink diet coke, although it's a lot of money. Other free things are 4 pack of diet coke, quite a few free itune songs (think about 8 in all) as well as various money of offers (like £5 at game, although doesn't give min spend).
Might be worth considering.

Sea - thankyou but I don't drink fizzy drinks, well hardly ever. Then again, I might do now I'm not eating sweets it could be a free (WW points I mean) treat
KM - I have done okay, I havent had much waterI had scrambled egg and a roll for breakfast and pate on melba toast for lunch (nicked your idea
) so 10 points do far ... then had a row with ex (again!) when he brought ds back and haven't felt like eating since
I've still got 8 points left so I need to go and eat something
Oh, and I haven't done any exercise either
I'm going to go and make some soup to take to work for lunch tomorrow too

I didn't get round to making lunch so ended up spending £2.88
I had pasta and a tomato sauce and a jelly. For breakfast I had a banana and I've just grabbed a ham and cheese sandwich to keep me going, I'll have something else once ds is in bed. No exercise again today though
Three of my ebay people have paid so I went to the post office and sent them on their way, just waiting for one more now. I need to transfer the money across from paypal too.
I did ring up and get my mortgage balance tonight and the payment I made last week has cleared now and so my balance is now at £56,785 :j :j I'm sooo pleased, it was £60,000 in July  Now I'm looking to get it down to £56k by the end of the year, which should be okay as I have £500 of mum and dads money to put towards it and also one more payment in December plus whatever I save in December.
Ds brought home the proof of his school photos tonight so I need to figure out which to buy and write a cheque for that. I think I'm going to go for a pack with one large one and 4 small. I was only gonna go for the big one and then print some out for family at home, but the price isn't much different, so by the time I've bought photo paper it would work out about the same.
I need an early night and have to wash my hair in a bit but I really must try and do some AQA'ing tonight, my total is pitiful this monthMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

I'm soooo jealous on your mortgage success well done on that it must be such a rewarding feeling.
Well done with the food. I've done ok too. I wasn't organised for my lunch for work today so I quickly grabbed some ryvitas, jam and some cherry tomatoes and a couple of satsumas and that kept me going. I had weetabix for breakfast and get me I had 3 glasses of waterNo exercise though
But I am finding that writing down everything I eat and drink in a little pad is keeping me on track and stopping me reaching for something that is convenient and bad!!
Listen to me saying I'm staying on track its only me second day :rotfl: :rotfl:
But I had a headache again today and I do think its withdrawal from sugar as I was really eating loads of sugar the last few months so it must be a shock to my body
Anyway keep up the good work Benben, sorry your ex seems to be a little blip in your life every now and then  but you seem to pick yourself up quickly and get on with things.0 -
Isn't it difficult to do the little bits like making lunch all the time! You did well tho - I was v proud today while I was out that I didn't spend a pound on a big bag of crisps in Sainsbury. Had to go to Boots and they had some normal size packs of nice crisps reduced to 10p because they were about to go out of date - I was v pleased for resisting earlier, so bought some!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Hi BenBen, I'm doing some movie hampers, one for my brother and one for SIL - I didn't know what DVD's either of them already own, so Ive bought one of those DVD Gift Boxes and inside Ive put a WHSmith £10 Gift card. Im going to print out a cover thing on the computer, like 'Steve's big Night in at the movies' and stick this on the front of the giftbox and prop the box up in the middle of the hamper.
Well done on the mortgage repayment, I read your diary regularly and have posted on it a few times and just wanted to say well done! About 4 years ago when I first split from my first husband, I managed to get a mortgage on my own where I lived with my two DS's. Although I only worked p/t, I was really motivated and I too managed to make good overpayments - the feeling was well worth it! - unfortunately since then, and 4 years on circumstances have changed and things have slipped
Im sure you will succeed with the weight loss, as you seem to be able to achieve whatever you set your mind to - you go girl! :T0
