Thank you SS too ... I need to get on with AQA big-time ... yep, I think once Christmas is out the way I will have a huge focus again on getting money back into the savings account. It may not be as "easy" to find £200 each month as last year I was able to get overtime in my old job which I won't have this year, but then I guess I can bump it up with AQA now ;)

Was wondering earlier where Sophiesmum has been for the last few days as she normally posts on here most day and I haven't seen her for a bit ... have just been re-reading some of my diary for motivation and seen that she is having a hysterectomy at the end of November. Hope everything has gone well hun, looking forward to having you back here! Make the most of the time to rest, big hugs xxx

Morning everyone :D:D I have a plan of stuff for today and am doing pretty well already. So far this morning we have ....
    1. played ludo
    2. both got dressed
    3. put washing on
    4. tidied both bedrooms
    5. changed the number on ds's "countdown to xmas" blackboard :D
    6. made a list of jobs for today
The list of still to be done things is ....
    • Go to the garden centre and buy a terramundi (I know its xmas soon, but I get enough comments about my piggy banks without getting more for a terramundi, I will use some of Mum and Dads money for it).
    • Go to M&S and buy best mates pressie as I'm seeing her next weekend so need it for then. It is a beautiful bag that was £50 but they have reduced them now to £40 and I have a £10 voucher, so bargains all round ;)
    • Sort through all the christmas decorations and see what we need to buy this year and hopefully get some at the garden centre.
    • Bath and hairwash for both of us :D
    • Check what ds has to take to school for the school fayre and dig out some stuff
    • Go to the park
Thats about it for now, but I expect I will add to it a the day goes on

The terramundi is for the Sealed Pot Challenge. I have liked the idea of having one for a while but couldn't justify the cost. I figured that I'd rather have a cheapy pot and put the money in that I would have spent on a terramundi. However, I like the sound of this challenge and the only thing that would keep me going is the surprise of how much is in there at the end. If I can keep counting it all the time it loses the fun (eg. my £2 piggy). So, I thought I'd use £20 of Mum and Dads money to buy one and then fill it up!! I haven't decided yet whether I'll do it for 12 months like everyone else in the challenge, or do it for 18 months till my mortgage fixed rate runs out and then smah it and pay it all off the mortgage as an extra lump?? Hmmm, have plenty of time to decide, first I need to buy it though ;)

  • Blimey, you've been busy already this morning.

Rest of the day sounds busy too, but it all sounds like "fun" type of jobs.

Good luck with your sealed pot challenge - though I'm sure with your enthusiasm and motivation you will have loads in there to pay off your mortgage next year.
