Diary of my new life !!!

Sounds like a good day planned, and I think your idea of the terramundi is a good one - we have a sealed tin for coins that will be opened before the kids go skiing, to go towards their pocket money for while they are away - it is fun trying to work out how much is in there by the weight of it!!
I need to go and plan my day - I basically have a day off, so don't want to waste it. Last week I was very productive on Sunday, so need to match that today!

I checked where my nearest stockists were and it would have meant going into town which I don't need to do toherwise, so I ordered from Prezzybox ... got 8% back from quidco and £5 off first order. I ordered a pack of two and it came to £31 altogether, and I will give the second one to my sister-in-law for her birthday in January as I never know what to get her as everything is xmas leftovers in the shops. I'm pleased with this as I expected to spend £20 on it anyway and I normally spend about £20 on her birthday too so all in all I think I've done alright
It also means I don't need to go to the garden centre anymore or at least not the one I was planning on going to which is miles away

Bit of a hit and miss day so far where my list was concerned ... I went to the garage and found all the xmas stuff, we've got bucketloads of lights, indoor / outdoor / coloured / white, you name it we seem to have it, God knows where they all came from, I don't remember having enough to light London before   Decoration wise its all a bit sad ... I have lots of nice bits but not much for the tree ... I love all different colours and sparkle, none of this sophisticated colour co-ordinating lark for me, nope in my house christmas means tacky
:rotfl: :rotfl: Can't beat a bit of tinsel and paper chains lol
So, I will need to find some new bits for the tree but that should be easy enough. We have also been to the shopping centre to M&S to get the bag for my friends present ... except they didn't have any at all, even though they do about 6 colours and they're all in stock on their website and its advertised in their xmas magazine that they still have available to buy at their tills  Anyhow, a nice lady went and checked the computers and they have reserved one in London for me that I need to pick up on saturday just before I meet my mate  They had better still have it when I get there or I'm stuffed
I also nipped into Sainsburys to get some butter and ended up spending £21I bought the butter and some cocktail sausages and then discovered the half-price toys
I bought: 4 x Thomas jigsaw puzzzles £1.99, Fireman Sam walkie talkies £3.49, a little remote controlled car £2.49, a little digger £1.49, a plastic builders set £2.49 a Maisy counting board game £2.99 and an electronic suduko £4.99. The sudoku is for my nephew and my budget there was £8 so thats good, the rest is for my present box and some will be for ds stocking as I'm a bit worried that mst of his stuff this year is books and stuff and not many fun toys iyswimMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

- Go to the garden centre and buy a terramundi (I know its xmas soon, but I get enough comments about my piggy banks without getting more for a terramundi, I will use some of Mum and Dads money for it). Bought it online instead
- Go to M&S and buy best mates pressie as I'm seeing her next weekend so need it for then. It is a beautiful bag that was £50 but they have reduced them now to £40 and I have a £10 voucher, so bargains all round
Went to M&S and ordered one for saturday
- Sort through all the christmas decorations and see what we need to buy this year and hopefully get some at the garden centre. Had a sort through and know where we're at but haven't bought any more yet
- Bath and hairwash for both of us
Just off to run ds bath now
- Check what ds has to take to school for the school fayre and dig out some stuff Oops, forgot
- Go to the park Ds hasn't mentioned it all day so I have got away with it for today
Hmmm, well I haven't done much off my list after all. I have donw some other stuff instead though, we have had 3 games of snakes and ladders and then we made some gingerbread men. Well, we planned to make gingerbread men but I don''t have a "Man" cutter, so we went for gingerbread piggies and sheep instead. All was going fine until I realised a few ingredients were missing so I made do with somthing similar .........
Has anyone ever seen gingerbread "men" rise before    :rotfl: :rotfl:
Ds thinks they're great and wants me to make more like it for the school fayreThey do taste nice though and they made the flat smell yummy so thats all okay really
Right, off to get his bath ready and then a bit of a tidy up before he goes to the land of nodMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000
