Diary of my new life !!!

Hi Benben I'm new to posting but not new to reading your diary, I've been a stalker for quite a while.
I'm very envious of your motivation and and your progress, well done. It always strikes me also how you turn things into positives so wanted to say hi and well done.
I need/want to lose half a stone ish and like my debt its not a massive amount but I just CANNOT shift it.
I am determined to start tomorrow counting WW points and sticking to it. I have written down a list of what my usual type foods/meals are in points and I am going to shop in the morning just for food for me for the week.
Would you mind if I joined you on your challenge of losing weight by updating each other on your thread?0 -
What a great day you've had! Um, the noise thing in a flat is probably an excuse! Drag one rug over another if you're worried - you don't need to jump, just step a bit!
Seriously tho, sounds a great day... and the money stuff really is ticking along, isn't it. Well done!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
You're more than welcome to join me !! I used to be a bit of an expert on WW points .. I always used to have a curly wurly every evening when I followed their diet. I kept them in the fridge and one could last me a whole episode of corrie :rotfl: It will be nic to have company on this one, s yeah, thank you, I'd love to have you onboard with me
All your comments are lovely, I don't feel particularly motivated / energetic ... in fact, most of my friends would laugh if I told them people thought that, except where money is concerned and then they would agree ... they all think I'm wierd when I describe my finances as my hobby, but for me it is! They don't get hos I can enjoy sorting out my money / hunting out bargains / doing quidco etc ... but then I don't get what they like about clubbing or badminton!! Each to our own huh !!Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Ok thanks.
So my intention is to go shopping in the morning and be organised with my food for the week or I know I will 'nip' somewhere bad for lunch or grab something 'easy' out of the cupboard. I hate taking lunch to work coz I'm too lazy but this week I will take in lunch the days I am in work.
And I will move more. Hopefully
Oh and I will definately drink more water I am really bad at not drinking enough.
So I'll update tomorrow what I have eaten and I will update when I am pacing the floor coz I NEED a sugar fix. I have a sweet tooth that is my problem so I'll be withdrawing or buying curly wurlys now you've mentioned them. I'm not a bread fan so that is not my downfall as it is with some people.

Quick post because I am now running late....
If you want an exercise to do that won't disturb the neighbours, try yoga or pilates - no jumping and thumping, very good for changing your shape, excellent to help you sleep, and just lovely to do.
I love yoga, should do more of it, as I find it really really beneficial! I just got a decent DVD/video - not a celeb one - and away you go!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Off to search ebay for a yoga/pilates dvd now
I agree with you KM, I need to drink tonnes more water than I do now and I need to stop snacking!! I'm the same, I could quite happily live on sweets and chocolate and never eat fruit as long as I live, but then I'd be a right heffalump  So, here we go, day one .... I'm already wavering about going swimming, partly cos the weathers awful and I hate driving when its like this and partly because I need to wither get my tax return done or sort out me christmas stuff, but I need to achieve something today before ds comes back at 4 ... oh and also, I don't think my swimsuit will fit me until I lose some weight
I did go shopping yesterday and I bought loads of veggies so I'm gonna make some veggie bake type thing for dinner and might make some no point soup to take to work tomorrow. How many points are you having a day KM? I think I'll dig out my WW stuff and follow that too for the month and then after xmas I'll just try and eat sensibly  I need to check all the charts and stuff but I'll probably stick to 18 points for this first week and then have 20 points a day for the other weeks. I don't really drink so I don't need to worry about that, its purely snacking on sweet stuff thats my downfall .... I usually have chocolate for breakfastso I'm off now to find something else ... may go for scrambled egg or something as I feel really hungry already
Good luck!!

Well done on the ebay. Feel guilty about that coz I said on my diary I would definately list my ebay stuff this week and I haven't  but there is today still
Anyway I will be better with the food stuff, I will, I will.
Yes I'm going to have 18 points. I've had a coffee up to now (must measure my milk allowance so I can keep track of whats in my brews). I'm going to have granola and natural yoghurt (I'm addicted to it) for breakfast but I suppose I'll have to weigh the granola so I can point it
Going to make celery soup for lunch (0points) and then not sure what I will have for dinner. Will snack on fruit, salad stuff and maybe treat myself to a curly wurly when watching TV tonight (my down fall is watching tv and snacking) listen to me worrying about my treat on the first day!
I'm the same with alcohol, I can pass on that no problem unless I'm going on a night out.
Need to get some eggs coz I thought an omlette with 'free' veggies is a quick meal to make one night and I might try it with one egg and the rest egg whites coz the whites are free aren't they? Never tried it like that so I'll let you know
Going to try melba toasts too with pate, only 40g mindfor lunch some days at work coz that will be easy.
Must also remember to check how much fresh juice I pour coz usually I'll have a couple of large glasses without giving it a thought.
Oh and I'll weigh myself this morning so I know where I am up to but I don't own any scales so will to nip to someone elses house.
God I am boring already sorry :rotfl:
Good luck with your day.0
