Surprise surprise I haven't done any ebaying :o:o Ds was in ont of those moods yesterday  and wanted me to play with him ALL day ... every time I thought he was playing nicely an I could escape for 2 minutes, he'd suddenly announce he wanted to play something else and this usually involved eiither me getting it out the cupboard or me playing too ;):D
Anyway, today I think I'm gonna finally move the money I've been saving all year in my mortgage pot into my normal account and then I can pay it off the mortgage this week ;):D I do need to do a few calculations first though ... it feels quite scary knowing I won't be able to access it again if I needed to, although I have the money from mum and dad still which I oculd use in an emergency ;) So, yeah, thinking about it, I can afford to pay it all off the mortgage
Not sure what we're doing today ... ds wants to go down the beach, and he needs a good bath and hairwash tonight as he has the photographer coming to school tomorrow :D

Finally I've got 4 things listed on ebay, but its soooo dull  When you look at how little everythings going for on there these days it doesn't seem worth the effort really, but I have soooo much stuff sitting round I really must plough on with it  :D

It may be scary realising that you can't access that money again "just in case" but think of the satisfaction it will give you to pay it off the mortgage!

You will soon be able to replace the money in the savings anyway, so will have that "comfort blanket" back before you know it!

Keep going, you are doing great xx

This afternoon, inspired by Hypnos chart she has made for the ski fund with the £50 boxes, I have made myself a little chart for the mortgage :D ... well, having figured it all out and checked stuff on the mortgage calculators it turns out I have been working it out all wrong  When I pay off the money I've saved this year (£2800) I will have a mortgage free date of Dec 2031 instead of May 2032 as I previously thought :j :j :j :j :j

I've also decided I need to try and find another £200 before the end of the year .. .my target for 2007 was to save £2400 which I've already beaten so now I want to hit £3k ;) I'm off to check where I might find this, will report back in a bit :D

Have been looking at the mortgage calculators again, and if I do pay £500 of mum and dads money off the mortgage it would knock another 5 months off an would make my mortgage free date Juy 2031, meaning I would then have 12 years left to knock off and that I would have knocked off 2.5yrs so far

Yay we're all back again :j :j .... well good and bad stuff today ... Good news, I've got 15 watchers on ebay now  no bids yet though, Bad news, I've had £20 declined on quidco  am really anonyed, I joined National Trust for my mums birthday present ... first they sent her a letter saying my payment had been declined  even though there was plenty of money in the account. I reapplied and it all went through fine except they charged me £47 although the website said you got 3 months free, they said that was only if you signed up for more than one year (VERY small print, grrr) ... and then now they've declined it !!!! I have submitted an enquiry but quidco can be soooo slow at enquiries that I dont hold out much hope

I had my credit card declined in a store last week. It's sooo embarrassing when it's face to face and there are people behind in the queue. It kept coming up declined without giving a reason and it was only after about 4 goes that I remembered that it had expired end of Oct. Of course they had sent me a new one waaaay in advance which I had put away in a safe place ! Needless to say it took me ages to find it when I got home .
