We didn't go to football this morning, ds decided he didn't want to go so we went to a local town with a market and a harbour. I spent too much (again  ) but I don't mind really. I spent £21 in Woolies but did really well ... I got 4 x VTech VSmile games for ds all reduced to £2.24 each from £14.99/£16.99 :j (he might get one for xmas this year and the rest will go away in my cupboard for next birthday / xmas etc as they are suitable for different ages), 2 boxes of Twilight choccies for £1 each  , Polar Express dvd for £5 (for a movie hamper), 2 more empty plastic storage container sfor sweetie boxes (see xmas board) for £1 each, and a scarf for ds for the winter.
I also went to a stall in the market that supplies all the local coffee shops with cakes, and they sell huge, scrummy cakes ... they're all £3.70 each but they're like the big sponges they have in m&s cafes ... they're absolutely divine... anyway, I bought a choc fudge cake for my sister and a coffee and walnut cake for us
I also bought some rolls (60p) an aeroplane playset for ds (£1), and a newspaper (55p) but only for the free santa claus the movie dvdCa park was £1.10 and I had to get petrol on the way back ( £26) to fill up the tank
AM hoping to get some ebay done today ... I know I've sai it many times before but I REALLY must get round to it soonMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

lol, we bought the paper for the DVD as well!
Wish I could come shopping with you sometime - you always seem to get fab bargains!!
Mmm on the cake. I don't buy cake any more as my Mum now provides most of the local farm shops and markets with cakes and most of the local pubs with desserts so I resent paying for them. Especially when the pubs charge £3.50 for a piece of cheesecake that I know didn't even cost that much to make the whole one in the first place. Last time we went out we had the meal, then went back to her house for dessert!! Is that really mean????0 -
Chocaholic ... I totally agree with you about the dessert ... why pay that if your Mum has them at home?? The ones I got were £3.70 each, but you would pay about £1.50 a slice in a coffee shop for them ... only problem is ds doesn't like it so it looks like I'm gonna be eating LOTS of coffee cake this weekendMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

I can't buy any sweeties for them yet or I'll eat them
so will wait till nearer xmas ... might get ds to "decorate" them with glitter and stickers next week
Have just been down to PCWorld to look at the wireless stuff ... I'm a complete technophobe ... anyway, the guy said the stuff I need would be £70 and then they charge £90 to come round and connect it   I actually laughed at the guy when he told me that  ... he even admitted he thought it was ridiculously expensive  I don't mind paying £70 for the stuff but £90 to connect it !!! He didn't even attempt to persuade me either :rotfl: So, I might make do with the wires a bit longerI had a quick look on the techie board to see how difficult it will be and even though they reckon its simple I was totally lost
Hmm ... maybe I will pay more off the mortgage after all :rotfl:Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Hi hon. Aww don't be put off the wireless thingy. Don't you know anyone who could help you install it ? Well done getting the bargains. BTW how do you manage to buy stuff for your ds when he's with you ?? XXNothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

Ds is totally unobservant when I put something in a basket when we're shopping
which is a good thing for me really
if I think he might notice I just distract him with getting him to look at another toy and then tell him that he could write to father christmas when we get home and tell him all about whatever it was he'd seen
