Well done on surviving your first week Benben.

I also think you've made the right decision on school. It's a shame about the extra uniform costs, but cant be helped ehh.

Good luck with your 'to do' list.

    Hi Benben,

As you said, now you know why the rest of the world looks forward to weekends! try not to overload it. You need some relaxation time for yourself you know. It sounds like you are trying to cram in a week's worth of chores into two days. Life is for living, you don't need to kill yourself getting stuff done. Please don't make yourself ill hun!

Spud .... thank you for all your posts, you feel like my virtual mother looking out for me :D:D
Chickadee ... thank you too, I know what you mean about all the chores, its just that I can get them donw soooo much quicker when ds isn't around, and at least that way I will get more time o spend with him when he does come back on sunday ;) My plan is to do a few bits off the list tonight and then blitz it during the day tomorrow but have the evening of, and then do the car boot on sunday and any remaining bits then before he comes home. Then again, I may decide to just have a lie-in and forget all about the list :rotfl:

  • Hi ben ben
Now that you have changed ds's school and uniform is there no way you could sell the original uniform locally and at least get some of your money back?
I know you have ironed ds name tags in but if you bought a pack of blank iron ons you could iron a blank one over top. May get you a couple of quid back on what you have spent:D The original school may have a noticeboard you could stick an add on.

Glad you enjoyed your first week at work:D

Yep I think I will contact the old school again and see if theres any way of advertising the uniform there. So far I have done a few bits off the list, last night I had a pretty good tidy-up and now that ds has gone to his Dads I can finish it ;) I took him to his football this morning and we bought petrol on the way so a couple more bits done there, oh and we nipped into Tescos and got his p.e. t-shirts. I have stuck another load of washing in and switched the dishwasher on so they can be doing their stuff all morning!! Last night I also got all the paperwork sorted out.

This morning I have got and extra 2000 piggypoints in my pigsback account so that will be another £20 of John Lewis vouchers towards Christmas presents :T :T

I am off out now to do the mystery shop / try and find a bank open to bank the cheque  / post the birthday card / sort nephews birthday present and do the weekly food shop. I think I might buy something very naughty and fattening to have with a cup of tea too :D
