Oh, I used to have blue hair, and green/blue/orange hair. And red. And purple. And I have dreads
Love bright hair, and since I'm too ill to do mine atm I'm excited by other people's bright hair
Just back from the hospital, been given a real lift that my sterilisation will still go ahead despite my undiagnosed fatigue/pain type thing. Apologies if that is triggering to anyone, i would be destroyed by the responsibility of children and heading off the possibility seems the wisest course.:AStarting again on my own this time!! - Defective flylady! :A0 -
I'm a natural redhead so not a lot I can do colourwise as it doesn't stick, though I did have a purple streak when I was younger!
I have to deal with things as difficult as they may be so I'm heading over to the dfw boards for a bit.

Good luck SWC! I had a £3,000 debt for four years which was a huge pain to get rid of, I was so relieved when I had done it.
Slight panic here, my doctor is off sick and the other doctors haven't signed my prescription. I have enough anti-psychotics (I keep a few spare just in case things like this happen) but no pain pills which is likely to cause withdrawal and a lot of pain. I am hoping another doctor manages to sign it by this evening or tonight will be fun.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Hope you manage to get your prescription sorted WaSThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Oh, MU I love that colour! I had similar once, it was called midnight blue. I would definitely choose that colour for my own hair.
Argh, I have to make a phone call. It turns out that WaSp didn't quite understand the first time, there are 2 doctors sick in the health centre and my GP is covering for them and rushed off his feet. He has approved my prescription on the computer but not had time to sign it. They can call down to the pharmacy in the centre and they will give it to me without a signature but they have to talk to me, WaSp can't agree to it for me. Have I mentioned I have raging paranoia and now I have to use the phone? Excuse me while I go and rock in the corner for 5 minutes.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

WaS, do you have a hands free function on your phone? If you do, and WaSp sets up the call for you, you can shut your eyes and pretend the person is in the room with you, not on the phone, as you don't have to hold the phone to your ear.
And before I read your post, I was thinking 'midnight blue' too! Lovely mysterious colour, MessedUp!
I once had dreadlocks things! It was in the early 80s, and I had a super extreme mullet - short all over except for the nape of the neck whence grew a layer of very long hair, not quite to the waist, which I kept like that for quite some time. A few weeks before I decided to chop it all off, a friend plaited it into lots of little plait-dreads which looked really cool!
Then when I undid them all a while later, I plaited the long hair part into one plait, got a pair of scissors and cut the plait off! I still have it!(I just lurve spiders!)

Good idea on both points! I shall give myself 10 minutes and go for it (it has to be before 7pm) and get WaSp to set up the speaker phone. I shall probably shout from the sofa covered in blankets but they don't need to know that! All I have to say is that I agree to it so it should be a very short call. I hope.
Don't tempt me, Pyxis! I often feel like putting mine in a ponytail and lopping the whole lot off! It is mid back length right now and so dry and thick that it tangles constantly, plus it is wavy which makes it even worse. Short hair doesn't really suit me because I have a long face and very high cheekbones and short hair makes them stand out even more, they look like lumps of plastic stuck on my face. But oh, the temptation!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Don't knock the cheekbones! I can hardly feel mine. Let alone see them!
Dragonette - good news about your op! Look, everyone's different and everyone has their reasons for wanting and doing things. You must do what's right for you, and no-one will judge, least of all on here! :A(I just lurve spiders!)
