Oh Pauline you have had a carppy time of it all.

I don't bother with people who don't bother with me. I had a "friend" and I knew she was using me so I the friendship go.

I was talking to my dad's cousin about this. He found that some relatives only spoke to him when they wanted something; (ie, passing information on to his dad - a man he wants nothing to do with) so he cut contact with them. Admittedly, we don't talk a huge amount and we only started talking again (we're Facebook friends and don't talk a huge amount) because I mentioned something about being in London and he suggested meeting up. He's now talking about coming down to Plymouth and meeting some of the the other family.

I did used to know someone who only wanted to be friends because he wanted me to do something for him. (it was to do with sorting out a pretty serious issue) I didn't want to get involved and quite honestly, I didn't like him.

purpleshoes - I would have refused to meet him after he said no the second time tbh. I know that things happen and I find that one friend is usually really good when it comes to meeting up. He usually knows when he can and can't meet me and rarely changes his mind. In the 18 months he's been picking me up on a Wednesday, he's changed his mind once and apologised for it. He will tend to text me a load of dates he can't do and I think he's changed the dates over that once or twice.

I know I should. But I felt I owed him that meal he bought me. I don't like someone spending cash on me without offering to pay it back.

heh, Pauline, I wonder if you're leafleting for the same party I'm a member of. I'd love to help out with fhe leafleting but I work in the public sector and I'm not allowed.

Could I give you a clue and say I'm going to paint my nails blue with a white cross on them for polling day.

Only joined the party after the referendum. Can't make branch meetings as I work a Monday night but I've been leafleting on and off since before Christmas.

The result is going to be incredibly tight in my area, the party I vote for is having to try and overturn a large majority.

So feel better at having done my bit. I also put out my pt leaflets at the same time and the party are fine with that. Plus it's exercise.

    Legs suffering today though.

I joined at the same time as you Pauline. By the way, you don't owe that guy anything. He spent the money willingly and you don't have to reciprocate for equality. He didn't deserve it.

Following my foray into internet dating, I have had some horrendous first dates.

having a small wobble no idea why after a good start to the day.

Anyway a strange question does anyone wish that some times they could stop being them and be someone else. I often would like to wake up and not be me any more.

I don't want to be someone I know or someone perfect but just not me any more.

    Yours

Yes! I still want to be me but a totally awesome superhero version.

What superpowers would we all have? I'd want the ability to port anywhere, invisibity and the abilty to read people's thoughts as long as I could turn that one off.

Not sure I want to have super powers.

Just want to be the best me that I can be.

otherwise be someone else who does not have my issues.

I now realise that so many people are the same as me. They just don't tell people.

As part of my last permanent job I would have to ring suppliers and query and question when things they did not arrive. And maybe get a little assertive about what I wanted:eek:

But in my personal life I struggle to ring the dr's/dentist etc to make or cancel appointments. Or even look someone in the face as I pass them walking. Strange I know!!!

Fantastic. Day off work, DH at work so free time, plan was to watch movies DH doesn't like and eat junk food. Hmmm. My body disagreed. Have spent most of the afternoon on the toilet with the diawoowoo.

Me too, code! Hope I didn't infect you over the internet's! Mine is TOTM related though, it tends to happen every month towards the end. You know, at the age of 46 my TOTM is more regular than it has ever been, no sign of menopause here at all. This fact annoys me although my endocrinologist and psychiatrist have told me that it will mean a medication change when it does begin because a lot of my immune disorders are hormone related. So perhaps I should be careful about what I wish for.
