I get that Pyxis. I moved out of town to a place about 20 minutes away and my friends have been out here once. I always have to make the effort to go to them. I'm also willing to bet that not one of them know the name of my condition. Its hurtful.

Well done on you being the organiser. Perhaps your friends are worried they wont do it as well as you ir just grew used to you in that role.

Take it as a win. Last Saturday, I had to go out and spent every second of it wishing I was at home, in my jammies, watching Britain's Got Talent and eating a Dominos. So aside from proving that I am indeed a hermit with questionable tastes in food and tv, it also proves that not everyone with a social life is out there enjoying it. Some are out because they need to be and others because they think they have to be.
Nowt wrong with Britains Got Talent! I missed it last saturday but Swain recorded it for me :D so we watched on the monday. :D There are pluses to having a bf with Sky lol

I think i'm getting too old to go on nights out. I'm trying to think of something to do for my birthday this year that doesn't involve going where i have ended up for the past 10 years running! Any suggestions?

    That's awful. Pyxis. :(

I can't do a huge amount due to my conditions. But I do have friends who do invite me to some places. (they don't invite me to certain places because they know my answer will be no - I've made it clear I won't do certain things and they know either not to invite me or not to be offended if I say no)

We're currently organising a trip to France. Or rather, it's been "you need to book your flights. I've done mine. We'll book everything else which will then cost you about 170 euros". I am off to my first festival in June. He's then had to tell me how to everything because I've never booked a flight or indeed been abroad before.

My (never that busy) social life has dwindled since changing jobs. When I had days off in the week it was easier to catch up with friends with kids who only worked part time. One in particular we used to go on weekday hikes all over the place. Now I can only go on weekends she's normally doing family stuff. I don't mind going walking on my own, but it's nicer with company. I miss our walks.

What do you want to do MU? You could do an experience like karting or go to a restaurant you have always wanted to go to.

Nowt wrong with Dominos! Not that I've ever had one, but it's pizza init, so it can't be bad!

Currently I've had a packet of love hearts, a bowl of Walkers Sensations, and for afters a rum and raisin ice cream....what a proper gannet!

When I worked, is worked in a town 8 miles away, and everyone but me and one lad lived in this town. So every night out was in this town, and never in ours. Admittedly, it was a better night out, but a meal or two in our town wouldn't have gone a miss.

I know not everyone else is living it up. And most there of there social life is family. I know someone who seems to spend most of his time at mothers/dads/sisters has the odd friend or at home.

I don't have many friends and go out more than most. Mostly during the day and with my husband (we are separated not yet divorced)we go out for coffee, lunch and just out for a drive.

All things I would love to be doing with a boyfriend/partner. There is someone I am interested in and have feelings for and he claims he is interested in me but its just to complicated as he is more messed up than me. And it's better that I don't see or have any contact with him. Just to much pain and does not bring out the best in me. As he thinks all woman want his money, and take away his family and friends from him!!!! Yeah what ever.

I have always been a bit of loner and am happy most of the time to be on my own. But it would be nice to have someone to spend some time with. Cooking for someone else and going out on a bike ride or walk with someone else.

    Yours

    Calley
