My Mind lady is funded through my Personal Budget. It's similar to what you describe, but I'm so frustrated with the timing. I've had the Budget for a year and the Mind lady for nine months, but I've only just started the treatment that will enable me to benefit from them. Often, she and I just sit at home because I can't get out

Morning Team WaS. Just been out with dumbass dog. He has no weather preference and likes to be out in all weathers. Sometimes I look out the window at the bad weather and wish I had a gitdog type who didn't want to go out in the rain. But once we're out and I'm walking along with DAdog at my side and he's looking up at me with a big doggy grin, its all worth it. Tomorrow is his gotcha day - we first brought him home 2 years ago - so I'm going to the pet shop at lunchtime today to buy him treats.

I quite like hamsters but much prefer rats.

I am in pain. I need to go back to work today but also feel rubbish so some encouragement may be good.

Actually, that project is still going. But I think hardly any of the workers are paid nowadays - it's run with volunteers, and the scale of what they can do has been cut back a lot. There would still be people who could enjoy a trip to the shops with Stoodles, though! :)

code - only just seen your post. Here's some encouragement

    1. The days I dread at work are hardly ever the bad ones. The bad ones are the ones that sneak up out of nowhere. So today will probably be OK, right?

    2. What do you enjoy at work? Can you plan yourself a treat during the day? My treat today is probably going to be stopping for a Danish on the way in (yesterday was a fast day. I never wake up feeling hungry, but am just beginning to feel it now.)

    3. What helps the pain? (Apart from staying at home.) Can you plan some of this into your day?

Oh, that is sucky. Hopefully today will go quickly by and before you know it you'll be back in the comfort of your home

OK, so here's how my dream project would work.

Could you prepare a list of questions you would like your Mind lady to ask you on your bad days? Top of my list would be 'what could I do to help you today?' In my dream project (and I'm not guaranteeing your project will work like this) your Mind lady would be there to help, so willing to try most things. And in my own life, the Mind lady would be trustworthy enough so that MY answer to that question would be 'I think it would help me to feel better if my bedroom was tidier. Do you think today that we could spend half an hour working on that together?'

(Actually the bedroom might be a bit personal for a first thing, I might want to start with the lounge.)

You might (you are likely to!) have other things which would make you feel better...........but I find it motivating to discuss what needs doing and have a bit of a team to support me in almost anything! :D

He sounds very special and very clever WaS! I certainly didn't realise that they could eat so many different foods!

Ha ha! You haven't seen this, then? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0m9jh8VpphA

You guys are making me want a hamster!! I'm sure P cat would like one too... but for different reasons . Having seen him eat a mouse in the garden once I'm sure he can't be trusted around small fluffy things!
