RE Lush: the smell makes me gag. Same with yankee candle stores. Breathing difficulties.

Dragonette, OMG your poor cats, are they okay?

Onomatopoeia99, if you can cook, you can bake. Just as long as you don't have a temperamental oven, or a temperature-mental oven! The Bero baking website has recipes for simple cakes to bake and they are tried and true for generations of home bakers. Maybe give it a go?

    Pyxis, cake looks scrumptious!

It was! Gave some to my neighbour, ate a huge chunk in place of lunch and dinner, and there's not much left! :D

And dead easy, like JM said!

    And 'nutritious'! Hahahaha!
Well, there's egg in it! Protein!
And lemon! One of my five a day! Hahahaha!

I used to carboot MU. Used to make a decent amount of money too. A lot came from DH computer/electrical stuff, although I did sell some clothes, handbags and shoes as well. It's a wonder we made anything as I'd also wander round buying things! :p

We haven't done it for a while, as last time we went ( to walk around not sell), the turnout wasn't as good, and people were packing up at noon, it used to go on until 2-3pm.

Hoipolloi, I also love Yankee candles as well as Lush. Something's are abit OTT though I agree. :)

Does anyone car boot? I have loads and loads of clothes in the celller that are still in decent condition but truth be told don't fit. I've hung onto them for years as "motiation" to lose weight but its not happening so considering taking them to a car boot? Trying to save up some money for my "holiday".

Failing that will just donate them to charity..

Decided i'm going to have a deep clean of my room on saturday and make sure its spotless. I've let it get into quite a mess but all my free time recently has been spent at Swain's so that's my excuse for not sorting it. :o

Oh and today is my two year jobversary :D Can't believe how quickly the past 2 years have gone. I'm happy i've managed so long :)

I've done carboots many years ago, but tbh these days they are my idea of a complete nightmare! I donate lots to charity as I can't do with the hassle of selling stuff, though ocassionally I do sell one off items.

Getting out of the house on time has been a struggle this week.

Cold mornings - Gitdog is curled up at the back of his crate, eyes clamped tightly shut, doing his best hampster impression and refusing to get up.
Warm mornings - Gitdog is sprawled languidly across his blankets, eyes half open, appreciative wag, no obvious sign of any other movement.
Rainy mornings - Gitdog is in the porch, legs firmly braced against the step, doing his best immovable object impression.
Sunny mornings - Gitdog is commando crawling on his belly across the grass, looking very pleased with himself, with no obvious sign of what we've come out for happening any time soon.

Anyone sensing any sort of theme?
