    Here you are! Help yourself! :D It's lovely and light!

    Doing the butter in the microwave really takes the hard work out of creaming butter and sugar!

    Also, I have a fan oven, and I found 36 minutes at 180 was about right. (My oven seems to cook faster than even instructions for fan ovens on packets of convenience foods.)

    Also, lots of lemon juice/sugar makes it very yummy! I added the sugar slowly, as I quite like a degree of tartness, until I got the right tart/sweet ratio!



    Edit. Hahaha! The National Grid flickers as, all over the country, ovens are turned on for JM's cake to be baked!

    It was fine, thank you :)

    My boss is lovely, it's just the actual job and the company that I can't stand :rotfl:. Things are v up in the air here as the company is being split and sold. It's been hanging over us all for over a year and there's still no proper information. Our department doesn't exist in the company that's buying us, (all outsourced) but they still can't say for definite that they're getting rid of people. All of which means that it was far from a surprise for her.

    It will make things more difficult for her which I feel bad about - but that's work, people leave and move on. She'll cope!

    Does cake ever last long enough to be anything other than warm?? :)

    Just trying to work out pro rata annual leave left to take... depending on HR I may only be doing three more weeks. Which means I'd get a break before starting new job (lovely), and wouldn't have to see sprouty-face at all (even more lovely!)

    Flute lesson tonight :) - just wish endo wasn't trying to kill me. Not sure I'm going to make standing up for half an hour.
