She loves cats WaS, she just needs to understand that not all cats want to play.
Only time she's at all off with him is if I love in her view (so cuddling before she gets up)

I had better go to sleep before I start wittering on about marrow soup. I got a 9p marrow last night, Googled a recipe was just garlic, onion, marrow and stock and it was lovely. Went out and delivered 100 leaflets for the party I'm voting for and got soaked.

I am so tired. I suffer from insomnia but when it gets to a certain week in bootcamp I make like bagpuss and it probably was not my brightest idea to do a triathlon with two weeks till the end of bootcamp.

I'm now the proud owner of a ridiculous looking sweatband for my head as I sweated so much last Thursday night I ended up with very sore skin under my eyes, probably mentioned that already.

And I actually wore it to bootcamp last night, only got smirked at once by the instructor.

My mum is very arty, she can knit, cross stitch, crochet, macrame. She's also a whizz at painting. Me, I can cook and make good soup. The day that electric electrical appliances came with a built in plug was the happiest day of my life.

I'd love to be crafty, I'm just not.

I'd also love to bake a cake. The day my protein pancakes came out of the pan edible was a major cause for celebration

Anyone who can bake a decent cake, I have major envy. Chocolate crispy cakes are my limit and that's not a joke.

In a parallel universe I'd be living with someone who could bake.

One day I'll bake a cake that's edible and bread too

Maybe 2016 will be that year.

Sweatbands make me think of the 80's and leg warmers and leotards. I seem to be able to bake Pauline, although I haven't tried it much because I have to be supervised when I cook. My Christmas Cake turned out very well and I still have to make my Simnel cake. I used to make my own bread all of the time, I am not sure it was cheaper but it did taste better especially as you can include other ingredients with it.

What fascinating friends you had, Melly! I have read quite a lot about Voodoo back in my Wiccan days. It scared me a little although there were some good things in there, too. I was surprised by the amount of herbs used, often some of the same ones used in Wicca.

Started crying again as I got into bed, so just spent the last 2 hours colouring in. Not sure it'll help me sleep, but it's fantastic as a soothing distraction. The bf seems to be giving me lots of praise for being artistic - when I create from scratch I can understand, but I'm colouring someone else's drawing!?! Oh well, I'll take the praise :)

Sweat bands are hugely helpful! Ooh, it's been ages since I baked more than flapjack, wonder if I should test the new oven?

    Hugs dragonette.

I had to take cocodamol earlier and I've noticed something: that the dose that used to knock me out no longer has much of an effect and that once its worn off, I definitely get withdrawal symptoms. I feel terrible at the moment. I know I can take some codeine and drift off into sleep but I know, unpleasant as these feelings are, it'll be worse if I give in to it. Going to read my book for a while and hope it passes.

  • Eeeek! Hope the power is back on in the morning, Melly!

Aw, hugs for both dragonette and code.

Of course colouring means you are artistic! It is a question of matching and shading and then seeing the finish picture in your mind. I bet you are artistic, dragonette!

I get withdrawal when mine wear off too code. They give me no side effects at all anymore but still thankfully deal with the pain very well. I hope you managed to get some sleep.

So why am I up at 2.40am? Because Wasp and I decided while tidying that we may as well go through the bedroom drawers and ottoman. This was a great idea 3 hours ago, now we are sitting here looking at the resulting mess everywhere and the things without homes and counting down the hours to when the insurance people arrive. So what are we doing to help the situation? Having a cup of a tea and biscuit. It's going to be a long night.

Anyone still up? I've abandoned the night as abad job and started today. I used to take pills to sleep, but have refused to accept recent offers to prescribe more. For me, I don't think it's safe to have them around.
