Hello, I'm still reading, but, as in real life don't say an awful lot :( .

Hugs to everyone having a tough time though.

I'm having an incredibly dizzy morning so am stuck to the sofa with three dogs who are all staring at me waiting for their walk and I really don't feel up to going out. Back door is open so they can 'go' .

Brag moment, my boobs wouldn't fit onto the mammogram plate  They had to do two versions of each shot half a boob at a time , twice as much radiation not good but I'd rather be checked.

I hate my huge boobs they give me backache, neck ache and shoulder pain.

Oystercatcher, I read but don't post much.It must be very unconfortable having backache from carrying your boobs,it annoys me that people can get them enlarged on the NHS but people with medical needs struggle to get treatment.I am feeling a bit sorry for myself today went out yesterday leaving my washing machine running,it developed a fault and got stuck on the filling cycle
Cane home to workmen in my flat they had to break the door down,my flat and the one bellow were flooded. They sucked up as much water as they could and left two big machines that I have to keep running until tomorrow. They make a right racket one of my cats is holed up in a bedroom and will not come out had to put food water and her litter tray in there. The women downstairs is fuming don't think she has insurance, she was muttering about how she had spent a lot of money on her flat but if that was the case she should have got insurance.I did not say much to her as she was very drunk her and the other neighbours spend all day in their gardens drinking when the weather is nice, they don't work either don't know how they can afford it.I do not have any insurrance myself but nothing is worth very much and I realised the risk I was taking but never had much cash and out of work now so have even less, sorry for the long post

Oh no! How dreadful! What a shock you must have had! Poor you. :(:(:(
    Was much of yours damaged?
If they are flats, would the buildings insurance cover any of the downstairs damage? It should cover any structural damage I would have thought, but then I'm no insurance expert.

Oh no GL - hope you manage to get things sorted. Do you have any sort of insurance (buildings but not contents maybe?) Not sure how it works with flats, sorry. Last time I was in a flat we had to have B&C insurance but I think they just made that rule up!

We had a leak in the utility room last week (the one that I thought might be a leaking freezer, but turned out to be a split pipe under the concrete floor). P cat was strangely drawn to it, but then kept moaning when his feet got wet. Then ten minutes later he'd be out there again lol. I have explained to him what happens to curious cats but he wasn't buying it :D

In my experience, flats have a general buildings insurance which is divided between all the flats and included in the service charges. That may not be the case for all blocks of flats, though.

Well the washer is beyond repair,my sons xbox the computer scanner, router(luckily we had a spare) not sure if the carpets will dry but they were only cheap ones,it was the shock that was the worst thing,I thought there had been a fire and my cats were dead:(
Things can be replaced but love my cats. Its strange I have had a couple of bouts of depression but at a time when I should be,no money,no job,I am ok? I suppose that is evidance that it can be a chemical imbalance, glad I am ok anyway live in dread of it coming back

Sometimes when you're faced with a crisis, the adrenalin kicks in and you get stuck in and you cope. It's often afterwards that things dive, but some of that is the adrenalin withdrawal.

As you say, your cats are safe. I hope they weren't too traumatised by strange men barging in. I think in some ways, that might have been the worst thing for you, coming home and finding strange people in your flat. :(:(:(
    Have a big hug (((((((((((geminilady)))))))))))))

I think a stint in the duvet fort is called for. :A

Hugs gemini, that sounds very stressful. Your cats will be ok. Come into the duvet fort.

My social anxiety has kicked in a bit. My friend is having a meal to celebrate an important birthday. I was anxious about this anyway - lots of people + food = worry. Even worse, I looked at the menu and its the most pretentious thing ever and if you take off everything I'm allergic to, you're left with one thing. And its expensive - £5 for carrots?? And I can't even drink anymore. It's 5 days before payday, I'm in the middle of getting work done on the house so staying with relatives and I am worrying about this. By the time you factor in the train fares, we're talking over £100. I kind of have to go though.

Gosh, how dreadful Geminilady. I often go out and leave the washing machine on despite knowing someone who had theirs catch fire ! Maybe I should rethink this ? (How boring waiting in for the washer though :( )

I do hope you can manage to dry out and find replacement equipment. I would feel very invaded finding people in my home when I'd been out. My home is my 'safe secure place'.

I agree with the coping in a crisis theory. My worst times are when the dust settles after things have happened !
