EVERYONE is trying to work out how the Care Act is going to affect everything!
Well done on bamboozling the consultant - we need more of that sort of thing

Well the interview may have been a disaster (well, was a disaster lol) but brownies was great fun. The girls seemed genuinely pleased that I'd gone back and they picked my name0

And the name is?All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Seahorse! :rotfl:
It's not all owls anymore lol, we have various birds, horses, insects and sea life.0 -
Ooooo seahorses are lovely! (Which reminds me, I have ordered a colouring book. I do hope it has seahorses - some of them do. Mr JM thought I'd gone completely loopy when I said I'd ordered myself one
)
Do they know about your little blue penguin tho?Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
I just heard something incredibly sweet and funny. WaSp has made friends with another guy who makes Youtube gaming video's for a living. He is very confident in front of a camera but cripplingly shy in real life. He is very tall, very wide, has a long beard, is covered in tattoos and most people would never realise how shy he is, he has been single for a very long time. I have been talking to him on and off and we get on well.
He was buying a burger and an apparently very attractive waitress grabbed his arm and asked to see his tattoo's. Instead of showing her he forgot all about his burger, told her "You are too pretty to be touching me!" and ran out of the shop. He says he is never going back. I think it's adorable.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France
If I knew that the world would end tomorrow, I would still plant apple trees today - Martin Luther King0 -
That is very sweet, WaS! (And I haven't told you yet how wonderful your reply to mrsfrankie was, earlier today
)
mrsfrankie, people who hear voices often find it helpful to talk about the content of what the voices are saying to them. You could google the Hearing Voices Network http://www.hearing-voices.org/ to find out a bit more about hearing voicesEx board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -

Waves_and_Smiles wrote: »Oooh, good news daughter err Pyxis! I am glad it went well! I am dreading when I have to have mammograms which should start in 4 years time. I have read lots of horror stories about pain so your story is encouraging! Nevermind the fact I am slightly concerned that my boobs won't fit into the machine and things could get very embarrassing!
she told me to spare a thought for women with smaller boobs as it must be harder to get them in and probably more uncomfortable, which is a fair point.
I'm hopefully off to see my friend's and their new arrival tomorrow. I shall be armed with chocolates for my friends and a few bits for the babyCant wait to meet him
I'm off to a festival in 7 weeks and the enormity of the fact i'm essentially doing it alone is hitting me :eek: I'm a bit worried in case i have a mental moment, as obviously if i were with friends they know what to do in that situation. That said i;ve been talking to msomeone close by who's part of the group i'm camping with and we;re travelling down together. He has really bad anxiety over public transport s i've reassured him i will meet him and make sure he's not alone on the way there, plus will be nice to have some company of the journey.
very excited about it. I asked Swain if he fancied it but festivals aren't his thing, partly cos there aren't that many bands he wants to see but also cos he has IBS and for him camping and not being in close vicinity to a toilet is probably his worst nightmareThis is a system account and does not represent a real person.
