Am having a work meltdown :( One day out of the office and have come back to loads of emails that I can't even bring myself to open. I hate this stupid job! But I can't find anything else that I can do. Having a right panic this morning :(

Make a cup of tea/coffee, Tea, have a couple of sips, then open one email. Have another couple of sips and open another one. Etc. and have a hug ((((((((Tea)))))))))

I think I've decided I'm not going to do them. For a variety of reasons that I won't go into here, I'm just not convinced that they're as effective as they've been sold to be.

Elsien, do you mean mammograms?? Please do not give up on them. My best friend would not be here today without having a mammogram. It found a tiny lump (well, not really a lump, it was so tiny) which was a very aggressive cancer. The doctors said that if it had got big enough for her to feel it would probably have been very very serious and she might not have survived. As it was she had a lumpectomy and radiation treatment, she is fine now.

btw, I am 'well endowed' and I don't find the mammograms hurt at all, and if you think it could save your life a quick squeeze is worth it!

I second that, Joanthebone. Even if mammograms aren't foolproof, I'd still rather have them. I have every test and screen that's offered to me.
So many things are very treatable if caught early.

I was told that mammograms are worse for smaller boobed ladies too. I don't have to have one for a long time yet (I'm 30 in 3 weeks :)) but that's not good news for me as a fully fledged member of the itty-bitty-t1tty-committee! :p

    Fabulous photos Oldestgnome! :)

WaS, you remain wonderful with your advice, you really should write a 'WaS' guide to mental illness' book!

Big hugs Tea! Take the e-mails one at a time interspersed with sips of tea/coffee and a little time away from your desk.

I've got a week off in a couple of weeks and I'm already dreading the mass of rubbish I'll have to deal with when I go back, and to make it worse my manager is off that week so I'll be on catch-up and cover! :o
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Me too Birdie - when my Mum started having mammograms I wondered how on earth they'd get my tiny offerings into the machine! I'm guessing technology might move on by then (I'm 36). Do you have exciting plans for your 30th? :)

I second the idea about WaS's book - it would be amazing! Do you have a blog or anything WaS - should be essential reading for doctors if you do.
