I do hope you can manage to dry out and find replacement equipment. I would feel very invaded finding people in my home when I'd been out. My home is my 'safe secure place'.
I agree with the coping in a crisis theory. My worst times are when the dust settles after things have happened !
Totally agree with that last statement. Once the adrenaline clears, you're left with the collywobbles.
I used to go out and leave the machine on a the time but dumbass dog is afraid of the spin cycle so it has to wait until I'm home. Which is annoying.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -

I wish I could, but I don't see her very often. The £100 would include steak which is literally the only thing on the menu, except pudding I can eat. I can't even find a starter which is weird as I love starters!

Could you arrange something else with her? Even if you end up spending the same money but have a day out together or something?0

I've already told her OH that we're going, so I'd feel bad cancelling. Wish I hadn't looked at the menu now.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0

Could you phone the restaurant, explain your position and see if they can come up with some dishes for you? Check the price though!
I would think that's possible, given the amount of notice!(I just lurve spiders!)

Arrgh Pyxis - phone? Talk to an actual person? Eeek. :rotfl:
Hopefully tea. Gutted about the starters thing too. That's my favourite part.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -

I just had to make a scary phone call code (well, to be honest it wasn't scary at all but I am such a huge phone wuss that I've been putting it off since 8am). Now I just need to stop rewarding myself with a packet of biscuits every time I get anything done.0

Well done for making the phone call Tea! In my 2 previous jobs I would have to take/make around 70+ calls a day and I hated it! Can't believe I stuck it out so long! I've been in my current job 4 years no and receive roughly 1 call a week... but I'm so out of practice now that I panic if the phone rings!

Code- I think you should call the restaurant too. Or e-mail since that's less scary/annoying than talking to a potentially unhelpful person about what you can/can't eat! My friend is dairy intolerant, doesn't like cheese (she'll eat a little melted cheese in/on something, but nothing more than a smattering) and is a vegetarian. Her colleague was organising a night out and there was nothing on the menu for her so my friend told the colleague who said she'd sort it... she ended up with a cheese plait for starters, macaroni cheese for main and a cheese board for dessert! :rotfl:Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0
