Mr JM told me there was a wonderful line in NCIS. Ducky (aging post-mortem type Dr) was asked what he looked like when he was younger. He said 'I was told I looked a lot like Illya Kuryakin'.*

I had SUCH a crush on IK when I was about 12.....

*Of course, David McCallum plays/played both parts. :)

I wanted to wear Charlene's dress :rotfl:

Lately I've found myself being more bothered by things that previously would have bounced off me.

Last night I went into a panic because I read something on the internet about the drugs I wanted to change to and it said one of the side effects was rage and I was panickinv that I'd take it, go crazy and hurt dumbass dog somehow.

Did you want Angry Anderson to sing Suddenly as well? Or is that pushing it abit far! :rotfl:

It's weird the things that get to you when once they'd have just have washed over you? I've always been a worrier to a certain extent, but I find I'm even worse nowadays. :(

On Saturday night P cat didn't sleep on the bed like he usually does. He usually starts off sleeping on my legs then wanders around in the night, before ending up on my head in the morning. As he spent one night in a different place, I convinced myself he didn't love me anymore and was sulking.

He is a cat. A cat!

Totally with you on the positive to negative thing GG. I am veering wildly about the job I have an interview for. An hour ago it was the best opportunity ever and I was guaranteed to get it. Now I am too scared to even think about leaving this place.

My Dad was always extremely positive about everything, my Mam the total opposite. Unfortunately I seem to veer wildly between the two, more so now that my Dad has gone. :( He always used to say "what you worrying about? What's the use in worrying? If it happens it happens" He used to help keep me positive.

I think a lot of the time, like regarding your job for instance. It's the fear of the great unknown, and then you start doubting yourself.

My cat never sleeps on the bed, but one night he did and I started to worry that he knew something I didn't, that something was wrong! :rotfl:

Errm... :o. Me and my friend used to hang net curtains on our heads and take turns to be Charlene and we'd walk up the 'aisle' or pavement to the lamp post that was 'Jason Donovan', while the other sang 'Suddenly'.

Me too! Me too! I adored him as Ilya Kuryakin!

Georgie, previously in the thread we had some discussions about the worrying mentality and different schools of thought about it. There's one school that reckons that worriers are survivors, they anticipate problems before they happen and so are prepared. Worriers are the ones who would have escaped the sabre-toothed tigers!

Another school classes worriers as realists, because things are seen as they are, warts and all., no brushing them aside.

    So, don't worry about worrying!
We also decided that we're not worriers, we're warriors!!! :T

(By the way, the thought about the cat was based on fact, so you weren't worrying, you were being a realist! Probably a coincidence, though!)

You'll be fine I'm sure. Unless you're like me and find you get almost every !!!! side effect going. Including the one they put me on and took me off after one dose because it gave me depression.:( (I've not had that properly since 2010 and it usually creeps up on me)

One side effect of my mum's genetic condition is that the effects of any medication are really strong. She'll get each and every side effect listed... and a few new ones usually.

She had an OTC anti-histamine once and didn't sleep for three days. She was ironing at 4am and totally wired. It shouldn't be funny but it kind of was :o:rotfl:. It was like she was this hardcore druggy raver type.... after one little piriton.

Well one made me suicidal so I needed to stop that one. And the contraceptive pill made me fat and weepy. But its maybe worth trying anyway with instructions to my DH that he alert me if I start being weIrd. My rage manifests itself in uncontrollable crying anyway.
