They are great live. I've only seen them twice but travelled to Birmingham to see them after I had seen them in Glasgow. Hopefully they'll tour again in a couple of years.0

I'd love to have a solo holiday; as much as I love going away with DH, he's not interested in museums and whatnot so I find myself getting frustrated and rushing through things when he's with me as I'm aware that he's bored, and he's an 'I'm bored and I'm going to annoy you loudly until we leave' type of person as opposed to the 'I'm bored but will make an effort to look interested for your sake' type!
He's such a child sometimes, I have to take sweets (a bag of Buttons works best!) when we go shopping so I can give him something to distract him when he starts to act up! Anyway... I really want to go to Tennessee and go to Graceland and Dollywood and dress up in cowboy boots and fringed shirts but that is DH's idea of hell! I really, really want to go so if I ever got the chance to go on my own, I'd jump at it!
Wonderful story about the monks JM!
Sue - you should be very proud of your son, I'm sure you're a wonderful singer too!
WaS, i have funny half-straight, half-curly hair too. It's a mess. For some odd reason it got even curlier when I was pregnant, I looked like a lion with my massive mane!
Purpleshoes, I agree that you should charge if people cancel with less than a day's notice. It's not unreasonable to do so, people seem so self-centered nowadays that it doens't occur to them that they're putting people out. You're not a big business who isn't affected by their attitude, you're one person who is put out because they can't plan their own time correctly. Maybe if people can't afford to block-book you could still make up a booking form and take a deposit for the lot and then they can pay the rest of the cost at each session?Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. And now I've been offered a job interview - which I know technically is a good thing but I really have enough to stress about today. At least I have a week to try and fit into any smart clothes!0

Oooh that's good news Tea! :T Try not to stress too much.
My DH has a new boss who said to him last week 'All we're doing is moving boxes from one place to another, there's nothing to stress about'... what a great way to view work! Break it all down into the bare basics and don't get overwhelmed.Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Oh !!!!!!, today is getting even worse.
I've just realised that the snooker day out is the day the works dr comes in that month. There's no one else in, so unless I can somehow change a lot of appointments I won't be goingHad sorted out the staying at friend's house issue as well and was actually really looking forward to it.
So much so that now I've realised stupid work means it likely won't happen it has tipped me over the edge. Today has been truly sh***y since the moment I got up.0 -
Oh tea, have a big hug! Not sure what else to say but have some more hugs.

Instead of calmly working through the things to do list I'm having a sniffle at my desk and getting FOH to fix everything. I lived on my own for a decade and was fine but I seem to have regressed to the point where a leaky freezer reduces me to tears.
Sometimes it's the smallest (not that a leaky freezer is really a small thing!) that set us off, and at the moment with all you're going through, it's understandable.
Re the MOT, do you have a local garage who could collect and then return your car to work?
The job interview, you've got a week to get sorted for that, so put it to the back of your mind for now. Congrats btw!
Fingers crossed you can rearrange things and get to go to your snooker.
Have some more hugs x x0 -

How annoying! Why not just park him in cafe with a newspaper while you have a good mooch round the museum? Or send him off to do his own thing and meet up again later at an agreed time?
What does he like doing?
Some shopping malls have a men's crèche with a TV showing football or darts or something, and a coffee machine etc. for people to park their OHs in while they shop!Am having an overwhelmed panicLots of stupid work (things that shouldn't be difficult, made difficult by people not doing basic things they really should). Have also forgotten my MOT again and the utility room is underwater.
I used to be fine with sorting things like that but feeling v pathetic today. FOH has sorted the utility room and is now offering to sort the car too.

Just panicking about everything! Pathetic. Am going away for a few days later on this week, so should be excited, but the mountain of things to do just gets bigger. So pathetic.
Anyway, just trying to say, you're not alone by any means. :A(I just lurve spiders!)
