Aargh!! I hate this job, hate it, HATE IT!!!!! Stupid Dr has now said he can't come in on the date that was agreed three weeks ago - so now I'll have to tell that to the bloke who's booked travel down from Scotland to see him.

Haven't heard back from the agency I saw on Monday, but have seen that the job is now advertised with yet another agency so that's not looking good. Had a couple of rejection emails for other jobs, and haven't heard at all for all the others.

Having a complete panic about it all. Just want to go home and hide in bed with Percy cat.

Penguin with regard to bereavement.

The hospital have summoned Poorly Relative's next of kin, so it's not looking good - just sitting waiting now for the phone to ring. I feel completely useless because it's my parent's sibling, parent is in bits, and there is nothing I can do to help. I'm a bit rubbish at this emotions business at the best of times and I really have no idea what to do or sai. Nothing is going to make it better but |I feel like I should be doing something to help, but have no idea what.
And in case WaS is reading, this is absolutely not your fault.

It's tough when you want to be doing something practical to help but don't know what. Is there anything specific your parent will need - lifts to hospital, someone to feed pets, someone to call other people and let them know? If not, it really is just a case of being there if needed. Sometimes all we can do is send virtual hugs and be on standby for the real ones if required.
