lostinrates wrote: »Why are you engaging at all? This behaviour is disrespectful and USING. Not even a fwb arrangement discussion ( of which I am personally quite in favour of, but not with exes) but a ' need, want, can use your feelings to get'. Its also disrespectful of you to your new relationship and yourself/ own future to be engaging in such confusing conversation. Mu.......move on.
Absolutely. Tell him you are now in another relationship, block his number and move on.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
Yep, another vote for putting some distance between you. Doesn't necessarily mean forever, but for the time being I think it would do you both good. Also, think if your new love interest was having these conversations with an ex, you'd probably feel uncomfortable with that.0

MU - he's playing you. Delete him and don't respond to him..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

I'm taking your advice and cutting contact
I'd rather just concentrate on the present and people that actually respect me than someone who's putting their stupid feelings above me own :mad:This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
(((MU))). I've been there before. Always in a relationship where he's lost interest then when it's over suddenly he wants one more ride on the codemonkey express. In my experience, its not about you at all, its about his ego and it never ends well. Much better to just deflect them and then if that doesn't work then cut contact for a while. However, turn it around and use it as an ego boost for you. Two guys want to sleep with you! Yay!

Hope you feel better soon hun *hugs*
Well I suppose it is an ego boost
The last thing I said to the ex was that if he wanted anything like that to happen he was wasting his time because it's never going to happen and he should focus his attention elsewhere and not waste time pursuing me. Funnily enough he never replied after that!
Oh and that isn't even the worst of it, he kept asking about one of my friends (who I knew he fancied) and was hintig at trying it on with her  though from what I gather she told him where to go!
Yeah in hindsigjt I Definetly did the right thing in ending it

Indeed!
Well it's firmly in the past now, on to bigger and better things hopefully
Also I hate lending people money. Been chasing up a friend for a week or two now and she's not getting back to me, irony being I need the money I lent her so I can go out for HER birthday!
Edit: other friend who owes me money for the gigs and hotel tomorrow is paying me back, so I'm going to be asking the other friend in person if she has what she owes meshe can avoid phone calls and messages but she can't avoid me if I'm there is person

I think you did the right thing MU, concentrate on new guy (he needs a name!) and just have fun together without having to deal with the past.
