Yay for finished windows! :j Very good that you had the cold excuse to hide under the blanket! :)

Lovely pics Sue, it's great that he's getting back into his drawing now, he's got a real talent :)

Hope the doctor's appointment goes well HBS. ((Hugs))

Appointment in just over an hour and I'm bricking it. What on earth do I say?

    :(

Exactly what you put in post 1538 (except maybe the penguin bit :))

If it's easier, write something down to get you started. It doesn't have to be anything complicated, just a couple of sentences like the ones you wrote to us.

We'll all be cheering for you xx.

Thank you tea lover. I can but try. This feels very odd, I feel almost detached now yet I can't think of anything else. :/

Sorry to bother everyone. I feel so selfish.

Hey, less of that x. If people here are willing to put up with some of the drivel I post lol, I'm sure they are more than happy to 'listen' to genuine issues! It's not selfish to feel down and need some help, far from it. Hope it all goes ok x.

Aaah help. On a whim, I applied for another job today. Its in the private sector so a massive payrise (almost £10k more), but I'd lose my job security and flexibility and work are so good about letting me work from home and sick leave. I just got an email saying the agency handling the job want to call me. Panicking now.

Speaking to them doesn't commit you to anything. You can have the conversation, think about the pros and cons and still say no, with no obligation. You have nothing to lose by testing out where you stand in the workplace. Must be a confidence booster to get such an instant response, if nothing else. :T
I am also having a work wobble. Met the MD last week, who asked how things were going. So I told them, on the basis that if they don't want to know they really shouldn't ask. I was professional in what I said and how I said it, but am now thinking that I really should learn to keep my head below the parapet once in a while.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

I have that problem too. Probably why I've never been promoted.
