    I'm in a clique! It's a clique of one! It's a unique clique!
    I love

  • I've dyed my hair, eyebrows and eyelashes

    done five loads of laundry

decluttered a rake of stuff to a charity shop

and put a few things in the recycling.

    I've been busy.

Yesterday, after coming in from a night shift, I went on a bit of a spending spree.

I donated $50 (about £34) to a charity sponsored by bloggers I follow and bought theatre tickets for my local theatre.

    They arrived this morning.

I'm still kicking myself about the sewing/craft course.

    :(
 Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway...

That's a lovely thing to say, dubs!

Edit.. And thanks to smcshane too! It never ceases to amaze me how far-reaching this thread can be! See WaS? :p

    Yes, welcome welcome welcome! :hello:

    Hint-it involves feathers and fur!

oooo! Can't wait! Does it involve penguins again?

If so, I have a little present for you. I went to a supermarket last night and they had rather nice Christmas socks which they were selling for pennies. One pair had penguins on, and made me think of you.

When I came to pay, they were even less pennies than I thought, because they gave me 3 for the price of 2 :D So I have a free pair of penguin socks - but then I thought 'oh no! WaS has already done her penguin stuff!'

But if you are doing more...........

Having spent a training day looking at LPA, advanced directives etc, I'm doing the lot, regardless of relationship status. And in some respects I think the health and welfare one is more important than the financial one. I don't want some random stranger making decisions about where I live and the care I get.

I can hardly believe this! I spent the whole morning doing training on LPA and Advance Decisions! The AD stuff (medical only, not financial) was by a very lovely charity called Compassion in Dying, and there is loads of stuff on their website. It is less formal than the LPA stuff (and doesn't cost £110 a throw!) but still legally binding. I worry though that this is a bit theoretical as it relies on someone on the medical team knowing that there is a LD. Which should be fine if there's a relative on hand making a fuss, but I wouldn't rely on any medical team reading the notes thoroughly, given the fact that Mr JM (who is recorded as being allergic to penicillin and dental amalgam) is regularly offered the first and had the 2nd put into his mouth without any consultation.

Ugh, so angry with DH, I've actually locked myself in the loo. I'm not feeling very well, have a horrible cough and face pain. I've asked him 4 times since 7pm if he'll make me some food. Each time he has said he will. I have had no food because some stupid football game on his phone is more important than me. I was talking to him about a DIY project we're planning and he was ignoring me about that too, but pretending he was listening.

If I ever get ill enough that I need care, I'm in real trouble because I will starve to death because he just doesn't care.

My grandmother mooted the possibility of having DNR tattooed across her chest.
I suppose how much other info you include would rather depend on the chest size, which leave me a bit stymied.

Grr...I am cross on your behalf code. Have had similar issues here previously and it's horrible. Is the game online? Can you resort to desperate measures and turn off the router or something similar? Not that you should ever have to do things like that to get the basic attention you deserve.

Elsien, that would depend on medical staff reading the tattoo and understanding that it is a DNR and not the initials of your three kids, eg Dorothy, Nigel and Ricky. Would be a horrible mistake if it were the latter and they thought it was an instruction.

Aren't you lucky your breasts are small and humble, so you don't confuse them with mountains.:rotfl:

Gitdog is of course a paragon of patience and virtue.
