But I was too fast, and was told to wait 30 seconds... ... ... ... ... It even counts them exactly - 1 second too soon and you have to wait!

    LOL

Love you you crazy woman. Enjoy your new badge which I can't see on the silly new version of the forums :(

P.S all, it has been decided that we shall aim for 2016 instead for a number of reasons. Mums chemo goes on until the end of May, and she will have to get incredibly expensive travel insurance. There isn't enough time for me to book work/nursery properly without impacting on the rest of my holiday time for the year because of the way they let me book my holidays. The flights are actually in the hundreds when I was hoping for a nice cheap one... And my passport is a sticking point although I will have to get them sorted out eventually. The expense came to around £1000 by the time I had totted it all up, and I am trying to save for my future, not a throwaway week as nice as that would be! :) Hope you understand!

  • Good evening everyone! Hope you have all had a good day.

Lilt shame you can't take advantage of the kind offer, but maybe you could start planning for next year to give you something exciting to look forward to. It will come round before you know it!

I got sent home from uni again today as tutor is still off sick. As much as I am grateful for another day off, I am getting quite concerned about the number of lectures that have been missed. Surely they have a responsibility to provide cover for absent tutors? I'm tempted to ask for some of my tuitions fees back as they are not providing the lectures I have paid for!! It also annoys me that they don't email to tell us lectures are cancelled and I have to waste fuel to drive there and back for no good reason!!!

I'm still in pain with my back, but DH is putting some effort in to look after me and keeps refilling my hot water bottle and I lay on the sofa. He still expected me to cook tonight though!

Have stuck to the diet and consumed plenty of fruit and veg. No water again though as it's still far too cold.

Has been a SFD. Had to return some faulty/ dangerous saucepans to Argos. Got a replacement, plus £5 returned to my card (even though I paid with vouchers originally) so will put that into my savings account.

Have set up a new bank account in my name today and will also sort one for DH. I realised I have been missing a trick by transferring joint bank accounts for the incentives when we could be transferring one each! So once they are fully set up will start looking for possibilities to transfer to. I know they may put credit searches on my file but I have no intention of applying for credit for a long time and I'm not applying for overdrafts on any of these accounts. They are purely for the incentive payments.

finally got computer to work not sure what i did but after several hours of swearing at it and threatening it, it now works but will spending the night on the naughty step. Got really worried and had to use DD1 computer to send my essay in just in case i couldn't get it work. (big sigh of relief). Traveller you've just made my degree easier by admitting its all your fault that we are experiencing climate change :rotfl: so next time can i quote you on it?
SFD as we've been to the hospital with DD2 , waited an hour and half for 5 minutes of basically the doctor saying words to the effect they'd done a good job! Not sure if they realise all the hard work we've done spending hours do physio with her. (climbs off soapbox) and then visited by socail worker who is assessing us to be come link carers, so a busy day.
DD2 alot better today ,however by 6 she'd hit the wall and couldn't eat her tea just wanted to lie down.
    positives: DD2 is feeling better
    begrudgingly the health service
    feeling more confident.
lilt just been on your diary and your daughter is sooooo cute.
also thinking that once the debt is gone to aim at paying our mortgage off sooner not sure yet
budgets = food gone:eek:/ petrol almost gone:eek:/nsd:mad:/ Treats: where the money gone? far far away:mad:/exercise not happening/declutter: only my purse:(

Lilt fully understand your reasons for not going. Agree with welsh kitty plan something to look forward to next year.

Sorry to hear about your back Welshkitty and your lecturer being off sick, tried to get a refund for similar few years ago. The lecturer was either sick and when turned up useless. We complained she left and no lecturer at all then and no refund for fees.

Had another Sfd today, needed milk but will wait till tomorrow as still feel lousy, glad work, nanny duties over with. Ready for my bed now shattered.
