My first thought would be your having a few puffs at the weekend before bed as your winding down while everyone's asleep, big deal.

But are you smoking 1 or 2? or closer to 4 to 5?

Also your history of being a long term stoner makes it harder to dismiss.

You should stop carcinogenic smoking, I've studied it on my access course and it's a huge risk factor for practically every disease Westerners are prone too, cardiovascular disease [any heart problems, stroke, anything to do with blood flow], cancer, diabetes, COPD to ay the least.

Buy a vaporizer, Amazon do portable ones called magic flight box that are very popular just make sure to read up on it and be sure you'll like it.

Time to break the habit, me thinks. Put the money you'd have spent on it into a pot (no pun intended lol) and spend it on something nice at the end of the year!

If all he's doing is a couple of spliffs at the weekend that probably won't amount to much!

Of course the missus knows. She's just keeping quiet so as not to expose her own crack habit.

Honestly no you can't. I respect it smells but there is no way in a million years you can smell it on a person days after they've smoked. In my experience it isn't anywhere near as clingy or lingering as cigarette smoke. I don't really smoke anymore but I used to smoke weed in the house of my very anti drug parents when I was younger. The smell would be gone before too long and coming home a few hours after I was done they never smelt it.

As for the legal aspect and the drugs vs alcohol debate, I can't really be bothered and frankly I'm not really sure what the point of this topic is. All I will say is that I don't believe its a good idea to keep such secrets from your partner. If you wish to smoke and shes against this then maybe she isn't the right person for you. Of course after marriage and a child it may be a little late for that realisation.

Maybe I'm a super special snowflake, then. Because I can - it's easy to differentiate between the stuff currently being sold by dealer a and dealer b, solid, whether it's been adulterated with legal herbals or other substances and how fresh it is, as well as how many days ago it was smoked or whether they were just in the same room as a smoker.

I'm not even going anywhere near the morality issues; just don't claim nobody can tell, because you can.

What if there was an I didn't late at night which required you to drive your kids,or wife to the hospital or something and you were found in the shed stoned? I know that in reality it's not that bad a drug but people use it for a reason, whether it's a social lubricant or to escape problems or just 'chill out man', whatever - I don't really care for the reasons: it's a bit sad really; and if I found my husband doing it I'd file for divorce. He also knows I'll divorce him if he abuses alcohol. Everyone likes a drink, no one likes a drunk. Turns people into dicks quite frankly.

    Why?
I live at my parents and have the rare smoke when friends come round or on special days. When everyone is in bed I go out for a walk i'm careful to not have it blow back anywhere near me, I get straight home and go to the bathroom and wash my face and brush my teeth, possibly throw my top layer in the laundry basket, maybe have a shower.

It's really skunk that has that overwhelming clingy smell not the lighter stuff, I don't touch skunk it's poison compared to the other stuff.

I've even done it when people are awake late afternoon, I get away with it because i've established going for a walk is routine behavior so no one thinks twice.

Having said that it could be they don't want to rock the boat but my Mum HATES smoking of any type and has confronted my brother in the past on her suspicions.

They are incredibly potent - because it's like inhaling air rather than smoking, there's more chance of spinning out without warning, even more so than with a bong.

I don't think it's just you, there's a house on my running route that stinks of weed - I'm pretty sure the tenants are pot heads. I can smell it on a waft of wind from the park up,the road, and people I walk past in the street. Anyone who thinks they are hiding it.... Hmm, mistaken!

I agree, although I wonder whether you need to recognise it to notice it, IFSWIM. This guy got on the bus this morning, sat in front of me and he reeked of weed.

It's possible to smoke in the same house and other people not know your doing it. I started smoking when I was 18 and my parents didn't notice for about 4-5 years even though our house is quite small, id open the window and put towels under the door then spray deodrant or perfume to get the smell out, they only found out because of my aunt who told them.
op I stopped for 4 years between 2008-2012 then started again, then stopped 2013 and started again last april, and stopped again this nye and haven't had one since, I still crave them but its not bad - more just from habit than a real craving, the first week is hard - especially if you use it to help you sleep, which I did, you might have a few late nights tossing and turning not being able to sleep, but it gets easier, you just have to find other ways to keep yourself busy

    Don't think they're potheads.

It's a garden plant which is why it stinks so strongly outdoors and wafts around on the wind. I know what you mean because there's a house near us that was exactly like you describe and I couldn't work it out, I thought someone had buried or dumped a huge stash in the garden it was that strong.

Sorry jojo you mean those miniature ones or vaporizers in general? I have M.E. and I found it helps with the pain but I'm very intolerant to carcinogens like a lot of people with M.E. who are hyper sensitive to these things [i also can't tolerate artificial chemicals/scents/sprays etc., have unpredictable reactions to pharmaceutical drugs and allergic to the flu jab].

So a vaporizer would be a way to get around the carcinogenic backlash, I did try a friends e-cig liquid vape and it destroyed my throat though. Not sure if these mini and full vaporizers wold be the same?

Can't you put less in? My tolerance is pretty low anyway and i'm not looking to get smashed, it's to take the edge off my symptoms. :o
