Unless she was raised by strict amish parents on a remote farm then its unlikely she isn't going to know what it smells like.
Does she know you used to smoke it so much or was that before you met her? Why have you never talked about this with her, does she have strong anti drug views?

My OH smokes, he also occasionally smokes weed - believe me, I can tell the difference straightaway - one does not smell like the other. I can also tell when someone who's passed me by on the street has been smoking weed - the smell is so distinctive.

my mrs is very anti drug, if I smoked skunk (which i use to) she would notice it straight away as it's a pungent smell. That was making me go crazy in my teens so I stopped smoking skunk about 4 years ago. I smoke commercial weed which is not as strong as skunk. If i started smoking that again she will most definitely find out. Some of you are right, I have to find a hobby for the weekend.

I'd be surprised if she doesn't know; you can smell it a mile off and it's very different to the smell of cigarettes. I wondered if maybe she thought the smell came from somewhere, a neighbour for example, but I would've thought she could smell it from you the moment you walk back in the house.

If you can manage Monday to Friday without it then it's a mental not a physical addiction and if you really want to stop provided you can find a good enough reason to you'll stop (although knowing that if your wife found out from a doctor that you smoked weed it would "break her" makes me wonder how good a reason it will need to be if that isdn't)

Odds are sooner or later the kids will start commenting on Daddy smelling funny when he comes back from the shed anyway.

You have no reason to keep smoking weed.

• You are neglecting your responsibilities as a father.
• You are keeping secrets from your wife.
• You're not addicted to it. It's a habit.
• Standing in a shed in the middle of the night smoking a joint counts as fun? Really?
