Halifax and Bank of Scotland also use the same internet banking system. HEY YOU GUYS I FIGURED IT OUT, IT'S ALL ONE COMPANY AND IT'S A SCAM.
Oh wait, no, they're all owned by the Lloyds Banking Group. They'll eventually be completely split from their systems though.Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.

Pointless thread.
Did you know a Skoda, is technically the same as a Volkswagen, which in turn is the same as an Audi?
I went shopping at Tescos for a change, but the chicken they sell there tastes the same as the one from Aldi.
It's all a scam, the whole system is a scam.....0 -
TSB and Lloyds telephone banking the same except the automated lady says TSB etc..
But yes I do get it now as they have an agreement to use Lloyds systems0 -
I know its probably a daft question and its not worth starting a thread all of its own. Ive been pushed over to TSB but the branch I usually use to pay cheques into remains LLoyds. Can I still pay in a cheque to my TSB branch at the Lloyds account I used to use before they split? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. And you will get the same lovely voice saying 'Halifax' if you ring them!
Do you have a bigger problem with the systems/banks that we can maybe help you with?
The automated voice is clear, the internet banking is straight forward and user friendly and the products are TSB products which you have an option to open or NOTI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Budgeting & Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Credit File & Ratings and Energy boards. I don't think you can do this anymore. Only thing you can do is open up a Lloyds account and switch.Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.

Same computer systems, telephone and Internet Banking and products.... Why
It takes years and years to develop an IT infrastructure. In the meantime TSB is licensing LLoyds IT systems.
"TSB will pay £100m over the next two years to Lloyds to piggyback off its IT systems, which then ratchets up to £200m as part of a 10-year agreement."0 -
I believe the irony is that when Lloyds and TSB merged, they adopted the TSB system as it was more advanced. So in effect, TSB are paying for a licence for a system that belonged to them in the first place before the merger.
Obviously there has been development over the years though.43580 -
How come then if TSB are the same why do TSB quote me a loan rate 19% and Lloyds quote me 4.2% and Halifax rate nearly on par with Lloyds.0

Hi Judi,
It's not possible to pay a cheque into your TSB account at one of our branches, sorry.
Thanks
