any view on this? - anyone having a punt?
I was eagerly awaiting the trainline.com IPO , but of course KKR have bought it lock stock so no go on that front.
what do people think of the HHS offering?

no-one any thoughts on this?
first (easily accessible) main market IPO of the year - no-one interested?0 -
I take it no-one is considering HSS at all then??
So what about John Laing - also come out on IPO this week
- any takers for John Laing? any discussion?0 -
I've registered interest in John Laing but am only 25% likely to bite.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.0 -

thats interesting - only 25% likely - whats putting you off?
its a big market cap - £750m at the mid, just a tad too small to make the FTSE100 - although a slight gain at opening 'might' push it in (and be followed by a reasonable gain as the trackers buy it)0 -
how much are you hoping to make gkerr4, in which timeframe and why?0
-
oh sorry - i only like IPO's for the short term - if i can take a 10-15% in a few days i'm happy.
I operate two ISA accounts so couple grand from each, 4k total - if i get 100% allocation and make £500 - thats a good result.
i generally participate in 'most' full market listings - always in companies that will make the FTSE100.0 -
Thanks for the insight, gkerr4. Could be an interesting sideline for some extra revenue if the IPO doesn't flop (Saga etc).0
-
yes - saga was the one (in 8, i think maybe 9) last year that did;t work for me - i bailed out at 10% loss if my memory serves me.
which is also interesting as IPO's are the only area where my target and my stop-loss are roughly the same!
usually the thing that totally ruins my IPO game is an oversubscription that scales back the allocation :-(
(which is why i use two isa accounts at £2k each and not just one account for £4k)0 -
5k in each but expect over-subscription and lucky to get half that. Usually stag IPOs but keeping these 2, Laing for the potential yield and HSS because I like the way the company looks. Funding from my SIPP drawdown account which protects income and capital gain from tax.
Not sure about Trainline, think not but haven't DMOR yet0 -
Doh, hadn't DMOR and just noticed the news about KKR, expect more before the polls though?0
