Perhaps because their difficult? An employer doesn't automatically have to be a good communicator.

What do you mean about the employer not being a good communicator?
The employer refused the employee the time off. That's quite a clear communication.
In this case it was the employee who took time off having been refused permission.

Hi guys, looking for a bit of help. Basically I work as a football coach and I am on a 0 hours contract. I have worked for my employer for well over 4 years now and I was recently informed by my manager that he was told by HR to remove me from the staffing for last week as I was under investigation. I called HR and was told they couldn't tell me anything and I would be contacted I'm due course, my manager also doesn't know why I have been suspended. Can anyone help me out with some advice please. Thanks

Paul, please start your own thread. You have posted this several times now on the end of others which have little, if any relevance.

Because they think that by spending a lot of money on flights etc. it will guarantee the time off.

And to be honest, it has worked from time to time but I doubt it'd happen twice with the same employer. It is pure common sense afterall to agree time off beforehand and I find it difficult to believe anyone with a brain would do so.

So definitely pulling a fast one...
