Suspended from work, HELP!

Hi guys, basically I have been suspended from work due to gross misconduct whilst they are investigating.
I was completely in the wrong but i regret it so much and its making me depressed that I could basically lose BOTH of my jobs.
What are my chances of getting dismissed for lying which they classed as gross misconduct?

I was completely in the wrong but i regret it so much and its making me depressed that I could basically lose BOTH of my jobs as they are related to the council. Fiance booked a birthday trip for me and I lied about where I was and they found out through facebook, & printed evidence of, however I was only asking for 2 days unpaid leave!
What are my chances of getting dismissed for lying which they classed as gross misconduct and breach of confidence and trust. :undecided
I need this job, I dont know how I will survive without it...:(
I am so worried, I have bills and 2 children(single mother), I cant rely on my fiance as we dont live together... I know I messed up AND i regret it SO MUCH!
I wish I never went on this stupid trip
You might want to seek advice from a professional outlet like ATOS or CAB?0 -
As above, seek professional advice.
Without wishing to depress you further, if you do get found guilty of gross misconduct and sacked this will be on your permenant record and make it difficult to get another job.
I know, it happened to me 4 years ago and I have not had a real job since.0 -
So what happened exactly? Did you ask for leave and they turned it down so you pulled a sickie? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

Close your facebook account down, a bit like a horse has bolted, just just daft to skive off and someone posts photos etc or what ever on FB of you.
I strongly suggest you eat a large dose of humble pie when you have a meeting with your boss etc.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

A girl where I work did exactly the same thing, was off sick then posted a pic of herself out on a shopping trip!

Can you not try and explain this away to employers now? Say have learnt from it, was a different person back the etc? Or maybe sufficient time has passed that maybe you could you could embellish your C.V slightly and say you were working elsewhere, for yourself etc?0 -

Go to the Unison branch office and speak with the branch secretary. Ask if the will represent you during the process if you join and pay three months of subscription arrears. They may agree but don't bank on it.
Why didn't you join a union when you started your employment with the council.
Btw, it's not the trip that was stupid.Don’t be a can’t, be a can.0 -

"We" would have lost £2000, yet "he" booked the trip and you are a single parent? Are you sure you're a single parent?
You need to apologise at work, don't try to make excuses about your daughter, that makes you look even worse - you've not learned your lesson. In your position I would expect to be dismissed - this is gross misconduct.0
