Yes. I'm afraid it's the norm and the reason that I no longer do much for them. Life is too short to spend four hours writing a report for them.
Thanks for that - probably why there are loads of jobs left on their boards then. Just googled them and similar views have been expressed.0 -

Does this help? Its an app that runs in a browser, worked on Andriod and iPad for me.0 -
That's the Web version. They have a separate standalone app that you should have been sent details for. Download that one, it's so much better.Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?0 -
Am I the only one who thinks what React is expecting you to do for the cards audit is ridiculous for the fee involved? Barely paying much more than an RA pound store for an audit. There is one in my local town - think I will be giving that a miss.0

Thanks skivenov and BG - I downloaded the app, and I also tried via the browser, but it always insists I need silverlight when I try to actually open up the questionnaire to fill it in.

Has anyone done anywork for Store Checkers? Eventually picked up my first assignment for them and can't believe the amount of commentary they want on the report for the fee. Had to pick up a rather 'crappy' slot machines shop in order to prove I can do MS work for them. Lots of observations required and lots to remember and wondered if this was the 'norm'?
It is. I did some gigs for them once and although the fee wasn't too bad -actually pretty good for report shopping, compared with many reporting shops I was doing at the time - I knew I had really earned it. The comments they wanted were those start at the beginning and write everything that happened, including every thing the staff asked, everything you told them, all of the observations they required, dress codes, names, toilets, cleanliness, transactions etc. until you left the store. It was like writing a witness statement. I never attempted to do any more becuase I simply did not have the time.0 -

I know! I read the brief before I read the fee and couldn't believe my eyes! I thought it would be 3x the amount they're offering. It should be anyway, for the amount involved. Crazy. Who's going to do them???0 -
I though exactly the same and certainly won't be picking up any of my local ones unless the fee triples as a minimum.0

Thanks - Unfortunately I had to write a similar report - they have loads more in my area which are hanging. No surprise I guess given the amount of work they are expecting for the fee. Took me about an hour to do the report so there's no way you want to pick up a circuit as you would be burning the mid night oil trying to complete the narrative.0 -

It always felt to me like they really wanted a video visit but were too tight to pay for one, I gave up after my second visit, I don't mind writing a small novel but the fee was no reflection on the data needed.0
