Gyp Burgers?
You have got to be joking. I have never done one and never will.
Far too much work, for too little pay.
I have done their DIY stores & the Filling Stations but they take so long to pay that I have sacked them0 -

I was wondering if there is any official way of claiming the cost (or part of it say 40% to represent the mystery shopping time element) against the taxes? I know you can claim cost of printing per assignment etc so I'd imagine there is a way you can claim the cost of new hardware?
I'm assuming your tax/business structure is as a self-employed person/sole trader?
You can claim tax relief to the extent you use the monitor for the business - so 40% of the cost
If you use 'cash basis' for your return (I do) simply deduct the 40% cost.
Although it probably makes no difference to the bottom line in your case, the mechanism for claiming relief if you don't use cash basis is as a 'capital allowance'. You should be able to claim 100% of the 40% in the year of purchase as I expect it will fall within the Annual Investment Allowance limit. Larger businesses have to claim the cost over a number of years.

With a decent premium the burger jobs are a doddle, especially the drive thru.0

Sounds a bit money grabbing but I didn't do walk ins only drive thrus, usually waited for premiums as they changed scenarios and timings to suit as long as the job was completed. Not sure if they still do that as haven't worked for them in about 6 months now as payments were slow but I'm considering trying again as they have been calling again lately quite alot.0 -
I must say people do generally moan about how long it takes for Gap to pay. They are the only company I have never had to contact accounts for incorrect payment. Frustrating when payments are late but they always come in. Generally I feel their decent premiums for tick box assignments are well worth the time. Agreed I wouldn't do them when they first get released but at least they understand that we are not stupid unlike ESA, MF who are so tight with their premiums. Even better when you win a instant £100 on their board game promo :-D

And you0

Yes, just been sitting outside enjoying the sunshine. Too hot for chocolate so Easter Egg still intact.
Gap are one of the slower paying MSC but not alone in that regard by any means. As long as they pay, that's the main thing for me!0 -

Probably one of the best paying FFF companies for their burgers. Drive thru is a 5 minute job and a 10 minute maximum report. With a decent premium its more than worthwhile IMO.
Got desperate last month with their original DIY jobs got a lovely premium, also told them that the new DIY client has ridiculous scenario's I think they kind of agreed...
:rotfl:Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk
I'm a woman's man: no time to talk0 -
I've just noticed that the Gyp paperwork has changed, and there are additional questions and pointers. Not sure when that happened, but it wasn't like that a few weeks back, so be careful out there...
A dream doesn't become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work0 -
Trying so hard to find a diplomatic way of saying to an MSC that "Yes, the job failed because I made a mistake. However - the reason I made a mistake was that you gave me 40 pages of rambling, repetitive, convoluted, self-contradictory, information to spend an hour or so trawling through for a job that took half an hour".
Seriously think a pre-visit wordsearch would be as helpful as half the paperwork this MSc puts out.Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?0
