Are the fees on AA listed in GBP or Euros?
Thanks.0 -
My least favourite job - the Blue and Yellow torture chambers has appeared on the board. Who an earth wants to do that job over the bank holiday weekend - bad enough in a normal shopping week?
I once told them that they literally could not afford to pay me enough to go there and do an enquiry on a weekend. When they said they could up the fee I said I would do it for £300. I stand by that.0 -

I was a little cheaper but not much :-D
I'm not going anywhere near there or any other DIY/Carpet/Furniture shop this weekend.0 -

Dont blame you - these places are a complete 'mare' on bank holiday weekends. Slightly amused that nobody has jumped in and grabbed the blue and yellow torture chamber yet.0 -
I need a new monitor (genuinely). I use it for multiple purposes such as gaming, working from home and internet browsing etc. But its also where i do all of my mystery shopping bits and pieces.
I was wondering if there is any official way of claiming the cost (or part of it say 40% to represent the mystery shopping time element) against the taxes? I know you can claim cost of printing per assignment etc so I'd imagine there is a way you can claim the cost of new hardware?0 -
Oh Gypburger!!
Yes I had a fall out with them two months ago. I had an assignment for a restaurant at a station concourse. There is a small seating area to the left of the restaurant and during peak hours this is usually packed.
So I pay for my food etc and go to sit in the seating area - no seats and nowhere to stand. There is no toilet to assess so I took a general look around and made a mental note of staff presence and cleanliness but had to walk out because if I had stayed any longer I would have looked suspicious.
A normal customer in that situation would not stand in a packed seating area and eat their food with no where to sit or no suitable place to stand.
So like what most customers do you stand just outside the seating area and eat your food whilst looking at the departures board. I was amongst 4/5 others doing the same and it’s quite normal.
Cutting to the end of the story, my assessment was rejected because I didn't spend 15 minutes inside the seating area! I argued back about how it was impossible to spend 15 minutes standing in the packed seating area and there was no guidance in the notes about what to do in such situations.
I was taken off of the program and I've dropped about half a stone in weight. It’s funny because I used to be begged to do assignments. The weekend before the incident I was paid £25 to go to one restaurant a mile away.
So I guess it doesn't matter how good you are to who seem to be the job assignment team, it’s the team who upload your job to the client that are willing to sacrifice their proven mystery shoppers to please the client for one shopping instance. It’s a strange behaviour.0 -

I've said already, I'm sure they're having a cull. They have less work and are trying to reduce the premiums. The end result of that if you sit tight is they are going to have some shortages. Here they appear to be short of drivers. The petrol asignments sat for a long time, with extra money offered, where they used to be snapped up quickly.0 -
It's nothing personal. Only business...
Have you seen the film 'Super Size Me'? It might be a good thing.
On other matters, I'm really glad the describe your visit section of one of yesterday's visits only started at the shop. I'm not sure the editor would have believed that I got followed up the escalator into the mall by a guy carrying a full size wooden cross over his shoulder.0 -

The particular restaurant had run out of chicken and the poor staff were getting shouted at, the queue was hectic as people were deciding what to change their order to but luckily I was asked to reshop due to extraordinary circumstances as I stated it was not fair to expect staff to work like that. Next visit was excellent but it needs an extra COD down there as it's so busy.
Yep I can remember the chicken one taking over 20 minutes for me on a drive thru. Longest wait for a walk in?0
