Ah...well it does say it will not show on the credit history, but I'll call the MSC tomorrow to press them on this. Do you know if it's usual to credit check when opening a new account if you already have accounts with the same bank?
There are two types of searches, a soft search which just makes sure you are who you say you are, the basic details are right and that there is a point going on with the application, these normally vanish after a couple of months.
Hard searches are the full monty, you would get one of these if you took out an account (or the MoS got a bit ahead of themselves and ticket the wrong box or submitted too early) they don't really disappear for quite some time, they are taken into consideration when you apply for credit and depending on the bank/credit company criteria for the product.
I did two for Grassroots which were full account opening and closings, nixed my credit rating down form a possible to a flat refusal for a creditcard.0 -

They stay on your file for a year. Two in six months or so is not usually a problem, but three or more makes you look desperate for credit.
If you aren't looking for any credit soon then I'd say go for it. I did one last year and you have to wait 12 months between them.0 -

I swear whoever proof reads for MF is thick!
"Q31 - If you had not visited TS today, where else would you have visited?
Answer : HB
Comments: I usually frequent HB.
Shopper Prompt: Please detail the reason for your selection. If 'Other', please also specify the company name."
I replied asking why they were wasting my time raising a ticket when I had already specified the answer. FGS!!!!!Minimalist

I just received a proof-reading query for the same question and client. What is also interesting, is that someone changed my original answer from "Homebase, because I have not heard of "Client name" before the visit" to just "I would have visited Homebase" and then decided to query me!
Ok, if they don't want the client to know that some people have never heard of it, they should just say so.Why can't you be a non-conformist like everybody else?0 -
*Whizzbang* I also did the same one as you. The supposed item detailed in the job notes which was not meant to be stocked in the store was stocked so ...... ?
I too put Homebase and gave a reason. It went through ok.
It was a riveting place0 -
also if I went to do a shop and audit but was given a location that had changed hands should I ask them to reimburse the cost of the item I had to buy. I did get the fee paid but lost out on the purchase. I have asked but didn't get a response.
It was not my fault. I did go to the right place.0 -
Thanks, edited my OP- whoops. God- how awkward re: the OOS item being stocked! How did you get round that one?!
I just don't understand why they would waste our time raising a proofreading query on that particular question. I wouldn't consider it vital to the accuracy of the shop, unless the client really is that desperate to know why people shop elsewhere. I personally had never heard of TS before starting to MS them, likewise SF for another client.Minimalist

Now I find this in my inbox:
"Dear Y
Thank you for accepting the above assignment and for responding promptly to the query raised.
The query was raised as you had stated where you would visit but had not provided a reason as requested in the shopper prompt. Your original comments were "I usually frequent Homebase." The reason for visiting is requested by our client which is why the ticket was referred to you.
On this occasion I will ensure that no points are deducted for the query raised.
Kind regards,
X"
!!!!!!, apparently usually frequenting somewhere is not a valid reason. But when you respond and tell them to spell it out for them, that means you would usually go there it is acceptable. What idiots do they have working for them? Apparently people with no grasp of the eloquence of the English language!Minimalist
