  • Yes, I got a PR query even though I had answered the question in the summary.. There is no option for nuance. It is not always that straightforward.

I know what someone means upthread about pedantic feedback. With the above company if you don't go into the obvious you get PR and you are never pulled up for being long winded. Whereas on another job for a different company I was told my comments were not concise enough. I think that is due to saying the same thing 100 times for the first company.

ESA bus journeys - anyone had to buy a ticket from the driver? Was it okay? I've had two bad experiences and just want to know if that's the norm before I accept a third

Feel free to PM me if you don't want to post here.
  • What does payment pending mean with React?

Will this land in my account soon?

This does mean that the payment is being processed and should be in your account by the end of the month.
  • So the online tax return deadline is due in on 31st Jan. Which dates does this cover in terms of shops and the tax owed from them. I assume it's a financial year? So would that be April 14 to March 15?
  • Is it me being miserly by expecting a reimbursement - preferably excluding the fee - to cover the cost of the food and drink items, in a restaurant?

I am with you on this one. For that reason I am never attracted to jobs which only pay for one meal and expect you to bring somebody else along.

THis is correct - you always do a SA for the previous fiscal year.

The ones I am looking at don't even cover for one person, after buying a main, desert and drink, and that's after adding the fee. Interestingly, the jobs get taken so some shoppers must be happy to have a meal that's subsidized, than than fully paid for.
  • I have vouchers for half price food for one place from my last visit. I think this may work out cheaper or there will be very little in it and I can relax and not have to worry. It is a bit mean that they won't let you use the vouchers as I may have taken someone else too so 3 of us so I would spend more even with the reimbursement.

I think it is bad that you can't visit alone and then the reimbursement barely covers your meal. I think it needs to be more generous.
