Has the fee gone down on Bare exam jobs? I'm sure the first one I did paid that in £'s not $'s.

Pub expenses - No, the £5 is just to be safe/tempt you in there.

Btw - speaking of being safe, most of those pubs are pretty rough. The neck tatted barman usually has to get the "Ken Barlow" of the pub to hand write the receipt on a betting slip. You will not be spending £5 on a drink. One's dole wouldn't go far at those prices.

The one locally is safe enough, but it would seem a bit weird to me to ask for a receipt for just a drink.

One reason I do low pay food/betting jobs is if I have to go into town x for personal reasons, I can claim the mileage against the job. Basically pays my petrol and wear and tear.

I usually say that because I'm waiting for my boss, he said I could claim it if I got a receipt. I play the dumb employee. Employed people understand that act!

Because, yeah, they usually wonder about it. At least for the few roughers ones I've been to. I've had to explain it to half the pub as they've searched out the chap who can write.

I'm not joking. My receipts have been written on betting slips by customers.

I noticed that one, too. A shame if it was reduced. It might be worth an email to double check.

I have a pubco mystery shop through MF and the allowance is £5 and I have to buy an alcoholic drink. Could I add some food to that or is the £5 just in case the drink was REALLY expensive.

Take a friend, buy two drinks. The reimbursement for MF isn't just for what is needed to do the job, as those doing the bakers jobs should know.

Well, today went a bit backwards.

Did a report job and the member of staff in branch didn't want to know me. Easiest report ever.

Then I went to look for a new motorbike (not a mystery shop), the member of staff double-taked at the missing button on my polo and gave me a floor show. :rotfl:

Note to self, don't do a kwikasf***i job for a while.
