I completed my first visit today with GfK and when beginning data entering they simply state "Left of Store," and "right of store." I am unable to find information from the notes to fill this in but I vaguely remember from training (a month ago) that I am to describe the shop? But would appreciate clarification. Anyone know for definite?

They want the shop next to the store on the left and the one on the right of it.

Of course not. They want to make sure you visited the right shop. There can be multiple branches on the same street.

I usually take a photo of the shop I am visiting using my phone - after the visit in case I am spotted. If you frame it right you also get both shops next door. Useful tip for new shoppers. My kids think I am mad and always ask why I have loads of photos of shops on my phone!

I've just seen one of the lunch/noodle places usually on MF advertised on mystery dining. Same brief, but no additional fee. Seemed odd to me!

Most high st type assignments ask for a photo of the store don't they?

I have a pubco mystery shop through MF and the allowance is £5 and I have to buy an alcoholic drink. Could I add some food to that or is the £5 just in case the drink was REALLY expensive.
