  • Yes I thought so but if you don't ask - scuttles off to make boring sandwich:)
  • Hi there,

Could you recommend any mystery dining companies that cover Liverpool please? There seems to be plenty of mystery shopping companies but difficult to find many mystery dining ones. I am with one mystery dining company, however I want to join more.....

    Thanks

I've signed up to a few mystery shopping companies but am finding some don't pay very well at all, I mean £2.50 and £2.75 for an assignment, it's really not worth bothering with, how do they manage to get people to do them?!

    Two reasons:

Supply and demand - there are lots of people willing to do the work so no need for the companies to increase fees.

Experience - if you shop for the same client a few times you get used to the format and it takes less time to complete the report (and people who are good at it progress to the higher-paying jobs).

QDOS has 2 restaurants in the Albert Dock (as well as Italian restaurants in the Wirral and Chester)
Service Measure has a Spanish restaurant and a burger place
But keep in mind there are lots of people living/visiting Liverpool city centre so restaurant visits go very fast..

Do the crap jobs for a bit, get the experience and then move onwards and upwards.
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?
  • I tend to do the MF jobs as they still pay slightly more than thatl but do other stuff as well which is better paying. I don't have time to do some of the jobs now so I pick and chose a bit more.

I have done the odd food job with those fees but now I don't even do that especially the alliterative one at MF where you have to write an essay and the reimbursement does not cover your food choice and the staff can be referred to as something which football fans are often called.

If MF jobs are sitting it is always worth speaking to the co coordinator and see if extra fee or travel can be paid.

Merry Christmas to all MSers out there!

I've been at it just over two years and have backed off a bit recently, because of family commitments and my job. So it was a bit of a surprise to realise that I've just had my best month ever.

A combination of some decent fees to complete quickly and a change in circumstances, which means eating out is more attractive, has led to fewer but better paying jobs.

A nice note to end the year on - as I'm almost finished at work for 10 days break.
