    Gooday Everyone:D

Spent 5 hours in West Ham Park today!! This one has a nice lot of things in the park plus a paddling pool area (very rare nowadays!). We took a picnic lunch, had a kickabout, kids went back into park and pool again! phew!
and I didnt get to go on the swings which is unusual for me!:D Love a good swing - its great for clearing the cobwebs out yr head! but Im now too old to jump off them like in the old days!:rotfl: (bet you remember doing that?;) )

It doesnt matter how much you spend on goin to places - all kids want to do is go in a park!!:rotfl:

Aparently they also have lots of free activities goin on, tomorrow is bouncy castle, friday is magic show, balloon modelling etc. Mind you it is a Grade II listed park so that might account for it!:D

Had something to eat and now DH has taken them over the back of our house to the parky area to fly the remote helicopter! then back for pyjama time!

So as you can see loads of Flyladying, baking, os stuff going on here!:rotfl:
(I hope I dont get banned)

mrs mix - thought you might have that CD! - itsnt it more embarrassing though when you start saying "Ive got that on 12" single" in the loft :o :rotfl:

cm - have a nice time in Brum!

Gotta go now and have my turn at the helicopter - which usually ends up in the trees!!

Enjoy your evening everyone! Tru - dont suppose yr offering to do ironing are you???

Arrrrrghhhhhh my company has finally done it.... blocked access to the MSE forums from work    :(:(

Well on the minus side that means I have one less excuse to avoid work... but on the plus side I suppose I could start working really really hard and get a job with a six figure salary, then I won't need MSE anyway :rotfl:

    Anyway...

forgot to say I was lying in bed last night with the window open, and it was so quiet outside that I could hear Big Ben striking the hour, three miles away! It was lovely, sort of reminded me of the nice things about London...

    Love Rzl xx

A quick salaam from Luxor in Luxor!
We are in the bargain internet shop to e-mail the kids so i am trying to catch up but the keyboard is bi-lingual (both alphabets) and some of the keys stick, also the @ sign etc are in different places.
Lovely view out over the Nile from the shop, the water is high at the moment(unusual in August) and the town is quite busy. We have been given a Nile view hotel room but did not have to pay the hefty supplement! Lots of free entertainment on the balcony: views of the river boats, the Temple and a wedding a night so far.
Very hot so spent most of today in the pool or under the umbrella. Went out to eat at lunchtime as I am not going to pay 7GBP for a pizza when it is 3GBP around the corner. (no pound sign on this keyboard).
Going to look at the illuminated Luxor temple now - it is cooler at night!
    ((((( to all)))))
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.

    Evening All

Bargain - even with those 'mild' self tanners I make sure I exfoliate first and put some normal moisuriser on the dodgy areas - for me its my knees and ankles.

Tired-mum - hope your kids enjoy it tomorrow, Im off to Bradwell beach on Thursday - I live in a village about 15 mins away. Its a lovely peaceful part of the country - couldnt live there though a bit too remote for me.

Had a nice day, did all my phonecalls this morning, some fly lady and washing. Then had a good couple of hours in the garden. Have inlaws turning up any minute - hm really do need to pop down the shops - have a good excuse we have run out of cereal.

Gonna go and update my flylady list - have a lovely evening.

Good evening everyone! What a beautiful day it's been - I haven't had loads of washing since DH went to France last week but I had to look for some today so as not to waste the chance of hanging it on the line. Consequently, I have spent most of the day sorting out my wardrobes and drawers - one of those jobs that you wish you hadn't started but, when you've finished, you're glad you did! Two huge bags for the charity shop and some empty spaces to fill up. I had to go out this morning and popped into the charity shop; I picked up a Gap top for £1 and some beautiful Roland Cartier shoes for £3.55, an old-fashioned tea-strainer (I want to go back to loose tea in a teapot so that was a good find), a build-your-own-train kit for my nephew who will be staying here tomorrow night and is mad about trains - I think he's the only little boy I know who wants to be a train driver when he grows up and not a celebrity footballer or a presenter! I also bought two books - one is To Kill a Mocking Bird by Harper Lee; I've been trying to read a copy that has all the pages falling out so I was pleased to get it - it's one of the books on my 'must read' list. The other book was called Chick Wit -witty comments by women. I may start quoting some soon!

I have just done the ironing - including all the stuff on the line - first time for ages that I actually got to the bottom of the pile!

I just have to make up the spare beds for my guests tomorrow and cook the chicken thighs tonight for tomorrow's dinner - an easy one, with salad and new potatoes, then in the morning I just have to swish and swipe around because they'll be here about midday. I'm hoping I can nip to the gym before they get here, as well. I'm trying to go every other day but it doesn't always work out that way.

Anyway, will look in later - have a great evening and congratulations to TAPLADY'S PIGEON - what's his name? My XFIL kept pigeons - his wife was such a b**** they were the only thing that kept him sane; his birds were lovely. I could see why he loved them.

    See you!

    KathyXX

Just popped back on to say Hi LUXOR in LUXOR - glad you're having a good time!

I've done 6 loads of washing, hoovered the house, scrubbed the kitchen and bathroom, gave the cages a long soak then a scrub, ironed everything and rearranged my bottled water so I can get to the PC without falling over them :D But my fave job of the day was to throw all the empty plastic bottles on the kitchen floor then stamp all over them ready for recycling :D

TRU - don't let all this water go to your head! I'm so glad your water supply has been restored but it made me laugh picturing you jumping on the empties!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Hi Everyone

Just touching base as I have been so busy my two weeks off, injury, revamping garden and doing a huge declutter and housework, having DGSs and going back to work yesterday plus DH home from other side of the world with wonderful stories to tell. I have a new digital camera to boot too! He is so good to me!

Just to say love and hugs to you all - some of you are a total inspiration at your attitude to life. I am still sore from my dislocation but getting better -new lavendar bags are helping (quite expensive on line I might add!). One at work and one here! Have finally made an appointment with optician for Thursday - have had real problems with blurred eyesight. Now just to psyche myself up for re-arranged dental appointment next week.

    Love
