I've just found out that not everyone in Glos has their water back on, so if any of you need washing done - or if you know people who live near me and they need anything - send me a PM. I'll warn you now, I use cheapy cheap washing powder and fabric softener - if you don't like using that, you'll have to bring your own :D I have bottled water too, we're picking up less now that our water is on but we can pick up more if it's needed.
Tru, such a generous and kind gesture. :T:T:T And not unlike so many other posters I've seen on the Flood board. It really is incredibly humbling watching these poor people struggling on and the pulling together of communities and neighbours, not to mention complete strangers, it is really heartwarming.

In all the bad that gets reported everyday, it's refreshing to see that when disaster strikes, there really are good people in this country, willing to put others before themselves.

Edit: Bargain Rzl, re. Harry Potter - I'll come with you - I'm dying to see it again. :j How are the withdrawal symptoms, I'm still suffering. :o

    Morning All

I'm here for five mins. DS and DD are "washing up" after us making biscuits. I dread to think what's happening down there!

Just general pottering today for us I think. Not a lot to report. I need to iron - uh oh. DD "needs" me. Clearly I was out of the room for 5 mins.

    catch you all later

    Hello everyone,

Had a pretty quiet day today. DH went off to work and I had lots of things to do but I read :o and watched the TV. He starts really early tomorrow so I've already packed his lunch. Hopefully I'll have my act together by tomorrow and tackle my list again. Made a lovely vegetable & cheese casserole tonight. Will definatly be making it again. Made heaps so will have it again tomorrow night. :D

CM Have a great time in Birmingham. I don't think we went there.:D
Hillstep Try some aloe vera on DH sunburn. It's very soothing. Or you could try Twinks remedy for everything - Lavender oil :D or crushed hobnobs. ;)
Tru Glad to know that now you're wearing clean undies now. ;)

Oh, I saw the shark sighting in Cornwall on TV :rotfl::rotfl:Watch out.

    Have a great day. Byeeeeeeeeeeeee

I'm back again. I'm so tired. Feel completely drained here today.

Had meeting with the boss, who seems pleased with my ideas for taking my new department forward. Been given a freedom to a degree to up things as I see fit. Unfortunately, that doesn't mean my wages are upped too!

Going home soon for a sleep, then out tonight at the football.

  • Afternoon........(((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))) if you need one.......

At the lottie this morning, more spuds dug, but they are in a sack in the shed for later, quite a lot with slug damage...damn slugs.............picked some rocket, a couple of little gem lettuces, some chives and a few beans.....watered the pots and hanging basket, OH emptied the three compost bins and we have spread it on the beds...................and we transferred rain water into the big butt.................

Just got a pot of bol on the stove for tomorrow, the DGC are coming for lunch, also did oranges in jelly for dessert. We were going to have sausage casserole for supper, but its too hot so bacon omelette and rocket salad for supper.

We are nipping out this afternoon, need to make the best of the sun whilst its out......you never know when the r*** is going to re-appear.......Right off for my cuppa and then out.................
September grocery budget........trying for £80, not sure if I will make it though!!!!! I certainly did not last month, lost track of the final bill. Will do better this month honest.
