iPad Mini

If that is fine for needs then go for it. Looks like you have very little storage left on yours at the moment.
Yeah, but I have a lot of pictures, videos and games on there. All my games, and each of the girls' games are on there. Once they have their own devices, I can delete their girlie games and they won't have my games on their devices either.
I mentioned buying only one iPad mini and my parents disagreed. Just be done with it and get two. Think Dad has a load of John Lewis vouchers and possibly (he is nice my dad) will pay towards one of them.Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

Have you checked to see if the apps that your girls play with are available on android or Windows tablets? Might save yourself a bit of cash if they are.

Oh yes, most definitely getting kids' cases. The older one (6) wants the dark pink one, and the youngest (4) wants the green one. Think she'll regret that and is just trying to copy me as my phone cover is green.
Some of the apps might be available I'm not sure. I've never used an Android phone so not sure what kind of apps they have.
I just want to get them something I know how to use and hopefully will last them a few years.Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

So glad that you are going for good cases, as have heard some horror stories about dropping and cracking.
I gave you the links to check out whether you can get the apps on Android or Windows.
If you are more comfortable using iOS, then that's that! They will love the iPad mini, that's for sure! I've got one and love it, although mine is the first one and has 64Gb, but managed to get it at a great price Dec 2013. Unfortunately, even the original ones I've seen, are higher than the price I paid! 0 They will love the iPad mini, that's for sure! Sorry, I'm just not getting this about no SD slot in the Surface. As far as I am aware, they all have them. Has there been an announcement that they, MS, are bringing out a new Surface with no card slot?0

It was more a comment from the Apple bashers had said Apples have no possible memory expansion and it was shocking.
Its not just Apple, Google devices are coming without SD slots, other makers phones are coming without memory expansion (Microsoft flagship Lumia has no slot).
Apple are no longer the one maker that does not offer expansion options, and folks need to decide the device memory size they need, at the time of purchase.0

Personally I think it is ridiculous that a portable device doesn't have some form of expandable storage when the on board storage is not very big unless you shell out hundreds more pounds for the device with bigger on board storage.0

I doubt that anyone would disagree with you, and if only it was an ideal world?0
