Morning everyone -
Dancemum - hope your aunt is OK - that happened to my gran. At the time Dad employed an insurance assessor to help with the claim as you forget so many things that have been lost. It wasn't easy trying to clean up after it so hope your aunt has lots of help.
Been awake hours reading again.
Bossy I was going to suggest chocolate fingers but curly wurly is a brilliant idea. I used to enjoy doing special cakes for my DS - Dappledown farm was my favourite - it had to be on a hill as the cake rose so much in the middle and I didn't want to cut off the top!! Hope you have a great party. x
Feeling a little better today so need to pop out to get money and some food bits to last until next week. Catch you later. xJuly 16 £95/£200

Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
choc fingers are hard to cut, you'd have to pick them off.
I've had a letter from CSA, looks like KH is no longer paying for the children he doesn't see or the 2 he does.. one sweet phone call for Monday. I've also had a letter re mediation, but it is not in a name I use so that is going back, return to sender.. no one of this name at this address.. its not untrue in the world of pedantry! I think I might be within my rights to say they are not going to his any more given the absolute bullcrap they have been coming out with lately and his treatment of the older ones.

Kittens aka mini vax machines have been busy hoovering up crumbs, tea, charred wood etc etc.
Mattress topper washed and blowing on the line. DS2's bedding to go in next and he has said it is his turn for the uni football kit today, joy of joys.
DS3 just scoffing beans on toast and then he is being enlisted to help me fill the wood store.
DS1 awoken so he can go wash a car.
DH has made a getaway and taken his bike to be looked at and off on a run.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Morning all
Dancemum, so sorry to hear of your aunt's troubles. At least no lives were lost.
I feel very run down - am breaking out in cold sores and tired and miserable. The sun is shining which should make me feel better, but I've got 1001 things to do indoors and am very jealous of DH, who has gone to the tip and says he's then going for a walk somewhere. Like Dusty, I need to be out in my garden whenever possible, but I don't have time to do that atm.
Big meeting this afternoon - have spent this morning preparing my report - then visitor coming back here for the night.
I have put pork in the SC and prepared veg.
Have also written 2 emails and sorted another folder of paperwork.
Still in my PJsso need to go and shower next.
Lunch at 1.00, must leave at 2.00.
Maybe I'll have time to finish off some letters before I go? I want them off my desk this weekend.
Hope everyone has a good weekend x0 -
5 baskets of laundry folded, kitchen swept and dishwasher emptied. Dryer and 1 WM on. I have a basket of knickers to sort and 3 baskets of unpaired socks

I'm spending the day outside as the sun is shining bright. Prunning, tidying and watcihng birds. Just had 4 goldfiniches together, that is my record.
Ionafan I hope you can get outside soon. I now go out whenever I can and think I'll do the other stuff when it's not bright.
The 99p daffs I brought yesterday are coming out on the dining room table and are so cheery. Alvin just had his first taste of freedom by escaping out the front door. He was swiftly returned to the kitchen. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
