Hi
Had the most productive 4 hours. Imagine 6 shelves triple stacked with books. Each shelf is 12 foot long at least. Been at these for last few weeks, Took 100's to Cs,20 to amazon trade in £17, 20 on ebay sold 2, 18 will go to CS next week. Sorted 40 for son as they will interest him. Probably keeping remaining few hundred as they still interest me and are not ones I have on kobo or would get the info from computer search. Have over 100 cookery books! Mad. I have been wanting to do this for over 10 years.
Anyway along way off being completed. But really made progress.
I have now decluttered 2 bedrooms completely, done the kitchen, 2 bathrooms, an airing cupboard that was obscene in the junk within.
I have left DS1 old bedroom,he is 25 and married, known as the do not go into that room room, and 2 wardrobes of mine, and then I am done. This is the first serious declutter in 28 years of marriage. DH is a hoarder and I have put off the rows and rants. However we are rotating houses and effectively moving house in the next few months and DH has admitted defeat and I am on a roll. At last. The rubbish men must think there is something V odd going on here. Charity shop think I am dropping off as a volunteer for a number of families.
Anyway today I have also wm, dw twice each, ironed, put away, hoovered throughout, washed downstairs floors, dusted, cleared a store table and actually washed and put away the stuff first time table clear in 3 years.
Tomorrow I hope to finish books and enjoy a family day with all my children and their partners.
Goodnight all from one very tired flylady.

Maria very well done, keep going
Jazee hugs sweetieThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Aww jazee I'm sorry about your DH, must be so tough xx
Well the curly wurlies worked, so the cake is all set. I have the engine and the station which are separate but ready to pop on, as the cake doesn't fit in the box with them on, lol. So we can do a last minute assembly at the venue.
We've had a lovely dinner, mostly eaten by both :T but they are very tired. DD was asleep before 7 and DS is past himself. He's only just now stopped yabbering. I wish he'd just let go and sleep sometimes. I guess he's excited.
Anyway. Dinner things cleared away, DW loaded and going again and I sorted my meal plan :T yaay. I don't want to be too tied to it, and we will need to have options ie a pasta dish and spuds but I've gone for "chicken night", "fish night", "easy night" (swimming night, lol. Involves tinned beans or micro rice haha) and Friday night is fakeaway night. This is the night we tend to relax so will be good for trying new things and have little bits of different stuff. Phew. I've been trying to sort that since before Xmas!
It includes a dish or two extra on Sundays to cover my work breakfasts and lunches too.
I think that may have been a frog!Bossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
Thank you, YL and Dusty.
(((Hugs))) to Jazee and to CY and all your family.
Well done maria and bossymoo for dealing with your frogs.
I drove south down the M5 this afternoon with the window open so that the sunshine actually got to my skin (rather than my being cooped up behind the glass) and arrived at my destination with a little glow in my cheeksThe meeting went very well, and my interim report was well received, so I am very encouraged that I'm on the right track with the plans for the group exchange visit - I've even been told that I can spend some money!
Our visitor has been appreciative of the meal (slow cooked pork in BBQ sauce, with boiled new potatoes, green beans and broccoli, followed by fresh pineapple and ice cream: dead easy!) and the real ale that DH offered him; we've sat and talked for an hour, and now he's taken himself off to bed.
We have to leave for the airport at 8.00 tomorrow, so I shall be sinking into my pillows soon too. Didn't get any letters written before I went out, but there's still time before the end of the month
Hope everyone gets a good night's sleep, especially mummyroys and Elastic xx0 -
